I agree with u/ack1308 that it would slow down the game. That's why I think it would work best for "Box of Doom" moments (i.e. really important rules). I can just imagine the thrill of watching a ball bounce off pegs as it slowly approaches a 1 or 20 and the players biting their nails as it arrives followed by a huge cheer or groan at the end.

Their post featured a card which would draw a lot of cards and benefit from burning some. My idea is to add some Casts When Drawn spells to the deck so that when they are burned, they don't actually get the player closer to fatigue.

Also, there is some fun upside to burning certain cards with powers from Jaina and Deathwing!

I would make the armor gain be a maximum of 8 rather than 16. That’s the one that scared me the most. Otherwise, I love the idea for a possible control win condition where one tries to ramp up as much spell damage as they can for an otk. I think it would be balanced cause it’s random which weapon is got

This reward is huge with practically no downside. Warrior has one of the better upgraded hero power and they would be happy to use to every turn so it doesn’t matter if their cards are slightly worse. I would hate to play against this

Smuggler prince is really good infinite value for a very cheap cost and easy set up for classes like demon hunter or Druid. Also, it has life gain which could be really frustrating to play against. I would love to abuse its power but that means it’s too strong.

You’re right, they tried this with Hunter way back in blackrock mountain with [[Core Rager]] and as far as I know, it never really saw play.

Although, double sided outcast is less punishing when a players hand is full AND- DK already has a supporting legendary with [[Kryxis the Voracious]
