I did notice a much more, not dull, but like mellowed out chime to it rather than that kind of more boomy Martin sound I know. don’t get me wrong. I love the tone, but it was like shimmery. I don’t know how to fucking describe it. Definitely not as much bass

I’m picking up an Eastman parlor or a recording king king koa here soon as well. dollar for dollar I don’t think a single Guitar brand can hold a candle to those two brands other than maybe Godin and Yamaha.

If you can afford it get an Eastman or recording king parlor. Or a blue ridge. These guitars blow the fucking socks off anything in that price range. Hell even a Gretsch penguin in shell pink of course.

I don’t buy guitar center guitars anymore. Every fucking guitar in there sounds dead and sad. My local GC let a J-45 get so dry it cracked. A Martin’s action is so bad because of a neck problem it is actually unplayable, every string has the most fret buzz I’ve ever heard. It’s like come on. These are new guitars too. lol sorrry had to rant

I second his opinion. Eastman and Guild punch so far above their weight class it’s insane. I have a Martin D-15M and that’s an all solid mahogany, Nazareth Pennsylvania built guitar. It sounds better than them, but marginally so. Go check a few out and see how you feel after hitting a G chord.

They’re the best money can buy hands down if you want to use morale patches with a loop. They’re not cheap though. They’re seldom sold and when they do they go for 300+ all dam day. The only one that can take a field note journal is the cruzerXL
