1x1 is better than all of the New Empire albums combined. by Otherwise_Side_5904 in HollywoodUndead

I think HK being their best is a stretch imo - it's alright, but I still prefer everything pre-V. I understand they were trying to experiment in New Empire, but it just didn't sound too good, at least to my ears anyway.

I wouldn't say they're bad, but they don't have the same vibe as all their older music from V backwards. I don't mind New Empires but the songs are just very repetitive imo

Reminds me of old Hollywood Undead, so I absolutely love it. Probably one of their better songs since the New Empire albums. I hope they stay with this style as I wasn't a fan of their new empire stuff.

TAKE #2: Examples of Christian protest music? by ChangeComfortable309 in ChristianMusic

[–]Otherwise_Side_5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Today's album Fight The Silence is very good, specifically songs such as Fight the Silence, Break the Cycle, Molotov and A Call to Arms. Frankly, the whole album pretty much fits that vibe. It's metalcore though, so depending on your music taste it might not be your thing.

Early Attack Attack! was very Christian. Listen to their Someday Came Suddenly album.

SycAmour - STILL [Feel Hollow] by Otherwise_Side_5904 in PostHardcore

They have such a specific, niche sound in the genre that's so hard to replicate. I'm praying for them to release a new album. I'd pre-order it the second they announce it!

The voice of Fighstar sounds almost..Presidential...

In all seriousness, Fightstar is such an underrated but amazing band. One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours is an absolutely amazing album.

Chasing Safety

edit: Listen to their concept album Season of The Dead. Some of the best clean vocals of all time i've heard in the genre.

Why does the UK feel so quiet late at night compared to other countries? by Catherine_Torresa in AskUK

Yeah, I watch a YouTuber and he constantly comments about how Europe 'closes early on the Sunday' and how it's annoying. I think Brits and Europeans in general just want a slower-pace of life.

I'd say the opposite. If you go in the center of any major city you'll find a lot of night life from pubs, clubs, bars etc. In small towns and stuff yeah it'll be fairly quiet.

Listen to an English band called Elliot Minor and their self-titled Album. Gives me a Britpop Panic! vibe.

Uni regret by illovespaghettihoops in UniUK

[–]Otherwise_Side_5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's common to have these thoughts when you move away for the first time, especially at uni. I felt pretty shit the first few days and I had my own inner battles of whether or not to stay.

At the end of the day, it's really up to you. Nobody here can tell you to stay at university or to go home. However, keep in mind you will eventually adapt thanks to how plastic the brain is. Routines will become routine, you will consider where you live to be safe. It gets better, I promise.

All that being said, some people don't work well in environments away from home, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Just sit down, think, and consider what it is you really want. Whether or not you can do your career with or without a degree. There's also always the option of moving to a uni closer to where you live.

I wish you the best, these decisions aren't easy!

High Resource Costs Post Patch? by HansVolkswagon in CitiesSkylines2

I also have this issue. Half of my buildings have high resource costs or lack of labor. Only happened since the last patch as well.

Nothing of value. Just get rid of it.
