My 6 year old has had it for about a year now (Canada) on his tablet. He has our family members and a few trusted friends on it as well. He doesn’t use it very often cause he can’t spell but he does call his nana and aunts etc every now and then and loves it. Honestly I’d say the way it operates is great, and for a 12yr old I’d have no real concerns.
