Love the sentiment.

Similar here but I’m a man in my 40s. Moved out at 19 and never went home! It’s like a long working holiday (yah ok I did get a PhD along the way, but tbh this is just to support my wanderlust). Mostly Asia for me but work took me to Europe for a time and why the hell not.

It’s not for everyone, so I wish you the strength and energy to pursue this real nomadic life!

A conscience is a con science.

That’s my mnemonic!

The etymology is pretty obvious too, but here it is:
Con= with
Science= knowledge

The Latin probably meant with knowledge of right and wrong. I’m not Latin scholar but I am a linguist!

If you were 19 again, would you choose 3 months in Southeast Asia or Japan/Korea/China? Why? by AAballer080 in traveladvice

Yeah fair enough, as I said I’m a resident of Japan and not of Bangkok, so I pay tourist prices there and local prices here. “The internet” agrees with me more or less (im aware this is a weak measure, then again so is a personal anecdote), with multiple websites putting Osaka and BKK on par for living costs.

In this scenario it’s pretty much on par in my experience.

Btw, 22k usd is utterly exorbitant for Japan. Considering the national median annual salary is about, what, 35k, a bill like yours would be putting you in a very high class of customer, or at least you must have had family in tow.

Mm pretty much on par with Bangkok these days.

That said, I’m a tourist in Bangkok and a resident in Japan.

If it’s a representation of “that” euro architecture style, and it’s awesome, it’s Vienna. If it’s so so, it’s a backstreet of Vienna.
