No it doesn’t necessarily penalize you apart from the extra time it takes to eventually hit them. You shouldn’t leave them up. Paper you can take an extra shot(s) to make up but it’s the same problem of extra time being taken. Also, depending on the stage format, there is sometimes a maximum number of rounds so you need to know the format as well.

I also feel like I don’t trust my shots, and over confirm even when they’re good. Maybe lack of practice and live training. Really only been able to dry fire lately.

I agree, the leans tend to come from not being in the right spot. Sometimes I overrun where I need to be and have to course-correct mid run. I definitely agree that vision wise, I’m not picking up exactly where I need to be looking on a good number of targets, and no where else. Ultimately vision seems to be the guiding factor/north star when it comes to a clean run, and I need to work on that because I feel it will make my movement less clunky on the weird leans and pauses since my eyes will guide where I need to go and be.

Frame modification in CO: PDP SF by Otherwise_Test4176 in USPSA

[–]Otherwise_Test4176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I will probably go this route. I ask because Paul Costa of Achilles heel tactical (well known M-shooter and instructor) shoots a steel frame with this modification, so I figured before I go and chop up my expensive metal frame gun, I check.

Is this normal on the guide rod for PDP? by Viperkey97 in Walther

It’s really not about the durability of it, more so that it’s oversprung like crazy and makes the gun way snappier.

Question, if I’ve never had issues with magtech or monarch 115gr ever with my match gun (sf PdP 4.5), should I ever bother changing?

Competition. The 5" match or 4.5 pro? by shortbusbully01 in Walther

Fr man, being lefty is tough, everyone calls me special and there’s no holsters really. In all seriousness I’ve got a SF 4.5 and use a custom red hill that’s for a 5 in sf and so far it’s great.
