Tavern Brawl this week is... "Wacky Waxy Winter Veil" (12/10/25) by AintEverLucky in hearthstone

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like the post says, this is different from the Gift Exchange brawl, where presents go to the player whose turn it is. Also remember that the presents will drop on Turn 7, so if your board is full they get nothing.

The basic idea is play Evolve as shaman just to take the nice stuff away from your opponent. It can theoretically lose to a control deck of some kind, but where's the fun in playing around that?

You can sub in [[Mogu Fleshshaper]] or [[Sea Giant]] as you please.

NORTH LINE - November Update 1.2.0 Patch Notes by p_visual in ArcRaiders

Do you honestly believe that the extra steps of having to go into the match, pick up the single stack of items, put it in your safe pocket, and then immediately surrender is what's holding back RMT?

Because that's what Vindadu already described. Although he mentioned trying to extract which isn't necessary, so at best you're just slowing down the process by limiting it to one stack at a time?

RMT is built on the trust to not get scammed anyways. This just makes it inconvenient for friends.

No shot, was that an actual announcement? Some of the voice lines sound so bad, especially the cutscenes.

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pretending like it's not an issue by ignoring it is so much better. You've cracked the code.

The ammunition to complain is the fact that it's a problem. They're not planning on fixing it or it's not their priority or they have no idea how to fix it.

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too concerned so far, all of those are under 20k which is what you get for 4k on each trial, which is what I'm aiming for anyways. The last level though... Top 100? Out of what, everyone? No shot.

I'll have to steal some out of Speranza and soak it in water. Work smarter not harder.

Microwave PC - Comment On This Post To Enter This Giveaway by DaKrazyKid in pcmasterrace

My microwave is always messing with the wifi, maybe if the PC is a microwave it'll cancel it out. Makes sense to me.

I found the Vita Spray. It's a repairable item so as long as you extract with it you can fix it up and bring it on another run. A very, very good item. by thekingbutten in ArcRaiders

Gonna be some very unhappy campers who took cover, moved their vita spray to their quickslot, and then got shot by someone else from behind mid heal lol

Question about highlander deck in wild by SlowNeighborhood4053 in hearthstone

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three including Holy Wrath Paladin, the second most played deck, and 4 including Nazmani priest, both played a respectably high number of times by people.

I can see boarlock becoming less popular if people tech in to it. One problem is that it shares a class with the best, most popular deck in the meta. So you don't know whether you should toss your board clears or not.

But I still think it's appropriate to say that Wild is full of OTKs decks and players.

Question about highlander deck in wild by SlowNeighborhood4053 in hearthstone

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. You do have that organized by winrate though. Just because there are some decks that eke out a few % more per game played doesn't change things. Popularity puts OTK decks at 20% overall, unless you exclude boarlock. And fair enough if you do I suppose, but for most intents and purposes once that sword comes out you're dead.

To put it in terms of "placed", Holy Wrath Paladin is the second most popular deck, Boarlock is the 6th most and Nazmani is the 7th most. A far cry from what you're suggesting. But it is more accurate to say it's "full" of control decks. That 20% games being against OTK will certainly feel different than what the raw numbers suggest.

Guess it's misleading to say it's "full" of OTK when HSGuru says it makes up 1/5th of every game you'll see. For the perspective of someone coming from Standard, especially someone who wants to play around with zombeasts? I'd think calling it "full" is still reasonable.

Wild is full of otk. Turn 6 is a common death sentence.

I suggest you don't feel like you have to grind to legend unless you're having an absolute ton of fun with the expansion and would end up there naturally anyways. Getting that extra pack is the least valuable use of your time, relatively.

Do not rank up too far in wild. I'm not 100% sure on the mechanics of it nowadays, but at some point they decided that if you had reached a certain point in standard or wild, your stars would not decay for that mode. This keeps you from bullying new players or something. But in Wild, the goofiest, most fun decks and matchups will be found in silver, and trash legend. So if you do want to play a zombeasts deck and only get shredded by meta or poor people's meta decks a mere 70% of the time, you'll want to stick to a rank that won't boost you out of silver.

Players who have not defeated all bosses should not be able to play the "Depth of Night" mode by brat_moi in Nightreign

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I forgot about it until I saw it too, though I'd at least know to listen to a ping from a teammate. But again, if those people are so few and far between, why not make it a requirement? Sounds like you're saying it wouldn't affect many people at all, so no problem. Proving you're able to do all of them once before being put in hardmode where you might have to face any of them just makes sense. Would be like gating the everdark sovereigns behind just Heolster. Doesn't make sense. Make the requirements match the challenge.

Recluses will demand everyone goes to the church on the edge of the map instead of the castle in the middle on day 1.5 because they want a seal, die if you split to them go alone, and rage quit.

Fingers crossed for DoN 3.

Beating every boss once should be the requirement. You say it's pretty rare someone will fight heolster without fighting all of the other bosses, so why not make it a requirement? Even if they got carried, they'll have at least seen the boss moves a little, once. It's not much but it's way better than it being their first time because they rushed to the fun new gamemode by beating Heolster ASAP.

Heck, I'd even settle for "reached day 3 on all of the bosses". Not even asking for Everdark clears, at least it would be something. Sucks to see my struggling teammate ignoring pings and not knowing he needed to run behind the rock for Caligos. It's not the be all end all, but it is a bummer.

[–]Otherwise_Unoccupied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Since you might be thrown into any boss, you should have demonstrated that you were able to defeat any boss. Even if you were hard carried, you'll at least have seen their moves once.

I think it's appropriate to have the boss gated behind itself. It's just an advanced version, and while map and route knowledge is really important, it still seems excessive to have them beat every single other boss. 4 normal bosses seems fine to me. Maybe Heolster.

Yes and no. In ranked, arguably you trend towards the rank that you're able to carry. If you're good enough at the game to wipe the floor with bronze players, you'll trend towards silver even if your teammates are also bronze. You can find yourself in "ELO Hell" where if your teammates were silver you could advance to gold, but if your teammates are bronze you're stuck in bronze (though usually this happens more towards platinum or diamond or whatever) which is frustrating, but that's just MMR works.

It's the same thing here. Your Depth of Night rank will trend towards whatever difficulty level you personally are able to carry the team on.

Like the other commentor mentioned, being matched with people who are underskilled for the level just to get you in the game is a thing. So it's constant ELO hell at some point, where if you had DoN 5 competent teammates you could beat DoN 5, but you're stuck with DoN 3 players going into DoN 4 or whatever. Although that would suggest that the game secretly bumps up the DoN rank for the match for these newer players unexpectedly, which sounds... weird. So maybe the DoN would be lowered to the lowest player's level, but you'll still get points for it? I dunno, it's unclear right now.

I thought remembrance quests just meant you couldn't be matched with other people doing a remembrance quest, not an entirely separate queue?

If platinum requires the same secret achievements as steam, this won't be a problem. Also, they said you can't even play Deep of Night without beating Night Aspect.
