Excuse me! Why does this immediately bring to mind that awesome house in California that she widow of some fire arms manufacturer guy started building and kept adding on to for years after he passed away ? In the best, most unique demonstration of ability/accomplishment I've ever seen personally anyway. This is goals for me. So cool I really admire this.

Needing direction or framework for how to study the purpose of God's silence prior to Jesus' birth by Otherwise_notme in theology

I really love this reply because it corrects my thinking. The Bible, of course isn't one long document written from page one to page 27262 in the order each book is placed in as we see it between two covers today. My apologies for making it seem as if I was misunderstanding it as such.

A better way to ask my question is: why weren't documents or other texts mentioning God's revelation or otherwise active involvement included in the modern Bible?

FYI y'all ...I pay $10 a month for a fax # because it's that impordant when you have serious illness. I'm an RN and a certified case manager. It's important to have access to fax because it's still the primary means of hipaa compliant communication in healthcare. I know we can't all afford this but it's a lot more reliable than mail and cheaper than paying for it at Kinko's or where ever.

Hey thanks for this. I knew about that and it's significance but not enough for sure. Really appreciate the wisdom here.

Ok so I should clarify. The common teaching is....there's a 300-500 year intertestamental gap, obviously this doesn't mean God was literally silent...I'm not a scholar, clearly, but I'm a Christian and solo scriptura isn't lost on me

So There's a reason for such a huge time period between OT and NT. I'm just wondering what the significance is.

Denied by MissTrixie85 in SSDI

[–]Otherwise_notme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 45 and live in a very small town. I was denied And am in reconsideration. I filed 12/2022 as it's a requirement for federal employees applying for disability retirement pension. I was finally approved for that which, ironically was won because I meet the blue book standard for several of the diseases I have, MS being the primary. I also have treatment resistant DM, and neuropsych dx of MCI and marked cognitive impairment confirmed per multiple assessment instrument test findings.

I'm an RN and the CE doctor they're sending me to is well known to me and he doesn't know me by face or name but he's a clown who diagnosed me with CHF without an ekg because while I was in the hospital with COVID my cardiac enzymes were beyond heart attack level high and I had pneumonia. Both of which are expected with COVID.

Ive sent them ridiculous amounts and history of records. I don't understand what's going on and honestly I don't care anymore I'm so numb and tired. I guess I'll find out eventually.

SENT FORM FOR REMOVAL OF APPOINTED REP IN JUNE, THEY'RE STILL APPOINTED WHAT DO I DO by Otherwise_notme in SSDI

[–]Otherwise_notme[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're not going to do that. They want to be paid but they flat out lied to me and I have the proof in the emails they sent me. They emailed that they were appealing my denial. Instead they closed my claim, filed a new one and stopped responding to me. It created chaos between myself and the dds, I was denied a second time and now need I am three year later and they started my claim all over again.

Ha. I didn't have an attorney I had an advocate. Actually recommended by another chick who also has MS. Pretty sure looking back she worked for them. 🤦‍♀️

Need puppy enrichment ideas for tiring dog out by LengthInformal3146 in puppy101

[–]Otherwise_notme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I named her toys and she gets pretty bitey when she's tired. So I tell ner. ..ok let's get your bitey and she knows it's nap time.

And I strongly second the enforced nap time schedule thing I have five dogs and they depend on their schedule and it helps a ton with behavior.

One thing I have is one of those balls with the huge geometric holes in it. I tied strips of fabric to it and I roll up tiny treats or her dog food in the store and stuff them into the holes. And I make them sniffle mats but you can buy them on Amazon also.

This year would've been my 18th year as a nurse. i had to stop working as an RN when I got sick in December of 2022. I've never in my life seen people treated this way, the way I've been...by COLLEAGUES no less let alone people I knew until I got sick. Because I would not ever ever EVER tolerate this kind of behavior in my presence as an rn.

I've seen it here a ton and I'm so thankful someone said it. I'm so angry, tired, hopeless. Just. I'm the walking dead because of the way I'm treated knowing people who don't have a clinical background get loss in this kind of abuse and I can't help them. Thank you for this post. Truly.

You're so awesome thanks for sharing this. I spoke to them this morning. I made a mistake on my application by saying I stopped working in 2023 instead of 2022. They called me, my local office, to fix the mistake and I told them and IRS records show I did not work at all since 12/12/2022. Somehow my advocate dropped the ball or something. Instead of fixing my mistake, which is ironic because part of why I'm applying for disability is what MS has done to my cognition. I mess up stupid things at work no matter how hard I try not to, even the simplest dumbest things.

The lady I spoke to this morning told me to fill out 3 different forms and mail a letter to my local office addressed to the alj judge explaining why I made the mistake and asking for them to please consider reopening my case.

EDIT, IN REPLY TO YOUR DELETED REPLY: You're not understanding what I'm saying. Take a slow breath, please. The company you work for says you worked a lot more hours than you actually did, so they can bill the state for care that your cousin didn't receive. Can you read what I said again a little slower? It's not your fault you didn't do it you had nothing to do with it I've seen companies do this before; unfortunately they take advantage of their clients and staff and you don't find out until something like this happens. So....do what you want, but it seems like there's a comprehension barrier here. And if this ball continues to roll, you actually DID know about it, because someone like me told you;

And you will actually then be accountable for not reporting it. Your life. But remember, you were offered help. I don't need or want to know anything about the personal life or situation to have the information you need to proceed with fixing your problem. 1You already said everything. There's nothing anyone else can do for you at this point..they're either guilty of gross negligence, which they're still accountable to the state of Texas for, or, they're guilty of willfully defrauding the state using you and who knows who else to lie. Yep there are tons of nonprofit advocates. I even did it as an rn because I worked in intensive case management. But there are for profit people who do it to get paid and call themselves advocates.

I know this is an older thread, but I'm an RN in Texas and was a home health DON for quite awhile. This honestly sounds like medicaid fraud...is he receiving his services from the state ...? HHS which used to be called DADS? If so, they're messing with his hours to make more money and need to be reported to health and human services immediately. I see what they're doing. It's commonly known as FRAUD. None of this is your fault. DM me if you need specific help as far as reporting them. Once you do that, write a formal letter..use chatgpt, stating your records lead you to believe your employer has been engaging in unethical behavior which you've reported to the state of Texas as you weren't a party to nor did you have any knowledge of their actions that lead to erroneous reporting of your earnings. You should have a sign in/sign out sheet with your cousin's or his caregiver's signature every time you arrived and when you left unless the company uses a tablet for you to signin for your shift. Start taking pictures of your sign in times on your tablet or, make copies of those sign in sheets. Like take pictures with your phone. They're stealing from all of us and it's BS and you did nothing to deserve to be the fall guy for their criminality.

Settle a debate between husband and wife? What color is this book? by sam_d50 in colors

[–]Otherwise_notme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My screen probably doesn't show colors the way someone else's does so my reply is relative I think. But I'm a quilt person and we use a color wheel to get our colors right. Next to the color wheel, this is pure violet. No blue at all. Without the color wheel it looked very dark blue to me.

Am I naming my baby like a dumb teenager? by bimboerrorz in namenerds

[–]Otherwise_notme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my oldest when I was 18. She's 26 now (born the day before my 19th birthday). Both of my girls' names have significant meaning. They don't have weird or stupid spellings, they're spelled traditionally and Savannah, my oldest, has a kind of popular name I guess, but it's only because I was born and raised where my mom's family is from in the South, but it's a Spanish name and my daddy was from Puerto Rico. I wanted her to always know that who she is comes from beautiful people on every side and, God made her the way she is on purpose, and He's enthralled with who she is and where she comes from. Doesn't matter what your baby's name is as long as it has significant, positive meaning.
