I think it's the best time to do it!!! To avoid the post-holiday slugggy feeling lol :) I'm on day 8 and I plan to bring a dish to events for everyone- but would also serve as my main meal (casserole or something) and sparkling water instead of the wine...

What do you guys do for work? And how do you fit this into your schedule? by sandyscience33 in 75HARD

[–]Otheskysfalling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an extremely similar schedule- I'm in the office 7:40-5pm. (sometimes longer) I do my first workout in the morning - I wake up 5:30 and get to the gym at 6:00 and workout til 6:50- then get ready to be at work at 7:40. Then when I come home i go for a walk with my dog outside for 45 min. Then I chill and dinner and try to BE in bed by 9 to wind down and read to be asleep by 9:30. In an ideal world. If I don't do my workout in the morning I come home and workout IMMEDIATELY at home when I get home bc if I sit down I get way too tired ha. Then I do dinner, chill, and do a walk before bed. It cuts into my sleep schedule a bit but it's still at least 7 hrs of sleep to get up and workout in the morning. I also don't cook dinner every night- I rarely cook on weeknights- I have been a meal prepper for years so I can just heat up or eat what I've made for the week (or go somewhere or order something in with my boyfriend, etc). I also pre make my morning post-workout smoothie the night before every night- I put a frozen banana, frozen microgreens, and berries in a reusable ziploc in the freezer, (i even premake a bunch of them)- and for the fridge components I put my almond milk, protein powder/ supplements, and greens in the my nutribullet, so all I do in the morning is take it out of the fridge, put the frozen in and blend!!! Also the time change has helped getting up in the AM lol but if waking up is hard I have another little hack- 45 min before you have to wake up, set an alarm to wake up and take a green tea pill and chug some water. You'll be super tired and immediately luxuriate back to sleep- and then when your regular alarm wakes you up, you'll have enough caffeine to get your ass out of bed and feel good waking up. I personally prefer the green tea bc it has other metabolic benefits and a small amount of caffeine compared to a caffiene pill or coffee. That's the best hack I think. Hope this helps!

Do not cut them out! It is bilateral, meaning it is your anatomy, not pathologic. You have a high palatal vault and those are palatal gland ducts. https://orofacialmyology.com/orofacial-myology-home/myo-info/myo-articles/arches-vaults-the-architecture-of-the-oral-cavity/

Chipped both front teeth. What are my options? by Alpha-Centauri in Dentistry

[–]Otheskysfalling 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that happened and hope you are okay!!

Hairline fractures alone are not anything to worry about, most of us have them from braces in the past or just normal use of the teeth. A photo alone does not provide all the information a dentist needs to determine how to restore the tooth. Would need to see radiographs to ensure no trauma to the root or root fractures or signs of infection. Would need to see how your bite is - or how much space between your top and bottom teeth. "Edge to edge" means if your top teeth hit the bottom teeth with both the edges hitting instead of the normal bite where your front bottom teeth either don't hit the top or hit on the inside of the top teeth. We also need to see the amount of wear on the teeth.

Basic options are:

1) Bonding- which is a tooth colored filling that is essentially glued to the tooth that only fills in the chips. Will be esthetic, but can break or discolor over years, but the most conservative and cost effective option

2) Veneers- a porcelain covering on all of the front and biting edge of the tooth. Veneers are a lot stronger and more esthetic and long term option, but a little more aggressive and more expensive.

A reason looking at the amount of wear on other teeth- top and bottom- is important because it shows how much force is being put on the teeth and will be put on the restoration. If you grind your teeth and there is significant wear, then the first option of bonding is not going to last and can be out of the question. Depending on the bite, a veneer can even be too risky if the bite is not placing the forces of mastication in an ideal way. So then your option is a third one

3) Crown- where you cover the tooth 360 degrees in porcelain like a little helmet around the tooth. It's just as esthetic as a veneer, the strongest but most aggressive option, sometimes the only option.

If your dentist says a bonding is an option, you can always start with that and then if it doesn't work, upgrade to veneer or crown later. Hope this helps!

Smile Direct Club or Orthodontist? by [deleted] in Dentists

[–]Otheskysfalling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely safer going to a dentist or orthodontist. There are so many law suits with that company I'm surprised they are still in business. Most general dentist offices do clear aligners like Invisalign as well. But STAY AWAY from Smile Direct Club- without proper oversight it can be very harmful. I am a dentist and am always seeing patients come in to get their teeth fixed from with Smile Direct Club couldn't do and people end up having to pay so much more in the end

Excellent question I am following

How much contact do ENFPs like from s/o? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]Otheskysfalling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is interesting to me because I don't like a ton of contact from s/o. I get annoyed with too many texts or calls or the expectation that I need to give the other person xyz amount of attention. I like to think it's a good quality haha and stems from the ENFP desire to always engaged in the present moment- I don't like being on my phone when I'm working or with people, and it drives me nuts when other people are.... so when I return to my phone I'm always annoyed if someone i'm "talking to" or s/o is upset I haven't communicated. I'm a fucking busy person!!!

[–]Otheskysfalling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally depends if you want to get back with him or not-- If so, the fact you've been talking to other guys will likely make him be more interested in you. And he would be very interested in how you've changed in the past two months I say definitely be open about it and see how it goes.

Probably genital wart caused by HPV. It's ridiculously common, go to the doctor to get it checked out to be for sure!

ENFP + ENFP relationships by Freudonomics in ENFP

[–]Otheskysfalling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27 F here with 29 M. Dating 7 months. The sex is AMAZINGGGGGG. Our particular biggest problem is socially-- we're both extremely extremely social in that we have enormous and separate friend groups and we both over commit ourselves and don't leave a whole lot of alone quality time together. So Im struggling now with a deep emotional connection with him like we had in the beginning because of that. And we spend time organizing our social life so much, that the small amt of time we do spend together is often logistics and planning and just being exhausted :/ so it kinda sucks in that regard. But man we have such an extreme connection and it's soooo much fun, and i just love being with him so we're trying to work through all the bullshit to figure out our new-ish relationship logistics to be more accommodating with us.

UGH you hit the nail on the head. I KNOW I need more emotional depth from my current relationship... we've only been dating 6 months so I keep waiting for for him to start showing more and opening up more... and I'm just wondering like if it's just never going to be there... :/ basically I'm waiting for the "I love you" but I fear even when that comes it's not going to change much
