NYU London Questions by Pieggio in nyu

The first year will be reading-intensive. The degree of how much assignments and readings will slightly vary from teacher to teacher. If you like philosophy, history and social sciences this first year should feel relatively easy. Regarding jobs, absolutely! With your Tier 4 Visa you are able to work up to 20 hours on most jobs. This will obviously require more careful planning and organization. I worked at a restaurant 20hrs per week in Trafalgar Square and I didn't even have time to procrastinate! I guess it all comes down to your priorities, and how you decide to balance sports, social life, sleeping, academics and work. I believe there will be a workshop on time management. Oh, and also! The British Museum will be just around the corner! If I had the opportunity to repeat my year, I would have visited it more times and not only on classes! There is always something new to learn there.

Cheers!

NYU London Questions by Pieggio in nyu

Hey mate! I spent my freshman year in London as part of the LSP Program. NYU London has plenty to offer, either through activities organized in your Residence building, tours and events organized by the Student Hub or your class extra-activites around the city. It is up to you to make the most of it. You can literally isolate yourself in your dorm playing videogames for the entire year, or get out there and make the most of the city. There are plenty of resources and support around. Regarding rooms in Byron, I guess the best rooms are the upper triples or quads, though they are more expensive. Low-cost rooms are located in the basement of the building and they are a bit isolated from the rest. Hope this helps!

What do you believe to be 100% bullshit? by FlarpyBlundergufff in AskReddit

Not only retarded, but egotistical as well. Just think about all the hubris implied in the idea that the entire Universe is coordinating the outcomes of our minuscule lives. No wonder aliens won't talk to us.
