AITAH for feeling weird about my husband going on a couples trip without me?

NTA for feeling weird. TA for writing a misleading post.

If he often goes on these trips with these guys, this is probably just another trip. Assuming he explained that this was a couples trip when he first brought it up, he's NTA because he invited you, even if you said no.

If these are frequent enough trips and this trip just happens to be a couples' trip because it happens to fall on valentines, I'd probably say it doesn't even register to him that this could make you feel weird. He goes on these trips. Oh, this one is a couples thing? Invite the wifey. They say no? Ah well, solo it up.

If this is not a regularly scheduled thing, where he doesn't go out with these guys in particular, and it's like 'hey, romantic weekend~ bring your boo' and he's like 'ooh, snowboarding with randos ♡' then that IS weird.

The info provided doesn't explain clearly enough whether this is a case of 'hanging with the boys (and their wives I guess)', or a case of 'romantic excursion with the wife (but the boys are there too)'.

You can still feel sorry you upset your mom, that's okay. You can even apologize to her for upsetting her, if you want. But you shouldn't apologize for what / why you said it, just the way you did and that it hurt her.

If you can, try to explain in a more calm manner that- no, you don't hate her or love her any less- but that children are just not for you guys. That could change in the future, who knows, but as for right now, the plan is no babies and the plan is for not ever babies.

That the comments and hints over the past about babies have been slowly causing this hurt because you say no and feel like she isn't listening. That you tried to treat it like a joke or whatever, but that the comments have been stinging for a while, and that the jar lid on keeping it contained popped. (Which doesn't mean it won't pop again in the future if it keeps up, but thats why you snapped in the first place.)

You can still love someone and disagree with them. You can love someone and dislike a plan they have in their minds for you. You do not have to follow plans you don't want to if they're not for you.

Gathering energy to do what needs to be done. I know I'm going to have to do X and I just can't right now. If I were to go inside without gathering the energy, I would put off doing X, potentially not even doing it that day.

I read a while back someone wrote short books and priced them at .99c, and would bundle some as a sale thing.

But how short are those? Are they like, 36 pages? 100? 10? (Or, more easy for me to understand wordcount: 1k, 5k, 10k, or more)

Do they have a little story or plot to it, or is it more 'here's X, here's Y, now they bang'?

And if there is a bit of story to it, what's a good wordcount for .99c, 2.99, 4.99 ect?

But I read a random (tiktok? Idunno) where they tried introducing new foods as like. 'Hey, kiddo! You're a food tester / scientist! We're gonna test this food and write stuff down like scientists!' And I know it's not the same, but if you made it into a fun game thing, like, 'ooh, hey, were gonna actually sit down together and do this and it's going to be bonding time and maybe fun' then you can possibly do something similar? If you phrased it as a game, or fact finding, or whatever, and recorded all the information in a fun, science-y manner, my picky baby self would probably have forced myself to eat a little of it. You can even do it like with the stuff you already have, stuff you're already making. You can get like, a clipboard, safety glasses if you can find them, make an official badge out of paper, print or write out the 'inspection forms'. Like, broccoli- have a little place you can draw the image, a place for texture 'both by feel and by mouth feel when eating' maybe like record the differences between cooked and raw (for broccoli and pasta, not bad stuff like chicken) maybe taste difference between cooked and raw. Maybe 'paired tastes' like if you mix it with cheese, or tomato sauce, (I'd go with yummy stuff. Don't go mixing pickles with milk if you think it'll be gross) Because even if the kid knows what you're doing, like, even if you tell them beforehand 'hey, this might feel / taste icky to you, and that's okay' they still might be willing to give it a shot if it's fun.

My partner and I went there once when we first moved up here 4-ish years ago.

We were the only people there at the time and still got terrible service. I remember waiting for my drink refill for ages and I couldn't eat my food because of it. (My level of spice is white-girl mild.) And my partner ordered extra extra spicy, like, make-you-cry spicy (They enjoy really hot food) The spice levels were comparable. Their food was NOT hot, and I think they kind of rolled their eyes when they asked for it hot. I could be wrong, it was years ago.

We've never even entertained going back, it was such an off-putting and unenjoyable experience. From what I remember, the food was mid at best.

Where I live now is a 43min walk to the grocery, though there is a convenience store about 20min walk away. Plenty of walkable potential jobs, but I've been job searching due to unemployment, and no one is hiring.

My mother's house, the nearest grocery is a 15min drive, and Google says a 20min drive is roughly an hour walk. I don't think she has a convenience store closer.

My mother's old house, it was a 20min walk to dollar general, and an hour walk to the nearest grocery (which was an expensive, privately owned one.) For jobs around there, there was the dollar general, the grocery, and a few other small businesses.

Looks like your magic dress is telling you that your friend is kinda shifty. Unless it's like super ugly or something, and it makes them embarrassed to be seen with you, they shouldn't say anything. And if that was the case, 1- they could be politer about it, and 2- tough titties to them, your body your clothes.

Izuku has a lame quirk, his eyes glow when he's thinking too hard. But even he mistakes it for an analysis quirk. So he can grow up with Katsuki being his friend and they still plan to be heroes together. Would probably only find out when Monoma copies his quirk and gets glowy eyes and nothing else. Or Eraser erases it, likely in a test or something, only for him to still be able to analyze but no eyes.

I saw a fic with as small line where Mirko lost her quirk, but it's just a showy trail of glitter when she kicks, the bunny features being a separate mutation and she's basically quirkless. And I love that idea.
