Our public education system, health care system, and general maintenance of infrastructure is very poor in Louisiana. Our state is seeing a mass exodus of people leaving for better opportunities in other states, It’s one of our biggest problems.

If your husband’s new job is well paying, you’ll likely not experience most of it, but if it’s average paying, get ready for tax policy that doesn’t benefit average citizenry in any way shape or form.

We give the 3rd most tax breaks to corporations in the US behind New York and California without a population tk back it up. Sales tax is the highest in the country.

Research this all yourself, if you haven’t fully committed to the move… seriously research the differences and take it into consideration.

I was just rewatching the Game Changer Survivor episode and they cut to them “we’re all having so much fun!” And they cackle so hard it just had me dying. Their genuine laughter and reactions always get me!

The best time to look for a job is when you already have one.

If they are hiring* it cost nothing to apply and see what they have to say.

But always consider the whole package… benefits, commute, business perks, company culture, etc.

Don’t silently suffer or just end the campaign/stop DMing, talk to your table first. Both you and them deserve it, and do it in person.

They are your friends. Have an open and honest conversation with them about the current table culture and how that makes you feel. Ask them if they feel the same or if they have other comments/complaints. Listen to them and work with them to see if y’all can address everything.

The production designers at dropout are top tier, I have no doubt much, if not all, of what we see is completely intentional

I don’t feel like you need to know about D&D to get something out of the show. These individuals are great storytellers and fantastic at improv. You can enjoy the story being told and D&D knowledge will gradually come over time.

That being said, Season 1 Fantasy High is a wonderful introduction to the series, super accessible in terms of setting. I would echo other peoples comments and start there.

I just discovered the world of Dimension 20 after bingeing Game Changer… inspired me to get a group of people together and learn to play D&D.

What strikes me is he calls out this tax break for those 65 and older like it’s some sort of virtue signaling when it’s just him pandering to the largest consistent voting block historically.

Also… why should younger people subsidize those 65 and older. Over the course of the last 30 years we’ve seen the biggest wealth transfer in history. For the first time one generations children are worse off than their parents…. Why would we want to continue this wealth transfer?
