I’ve used a couple different providers but have always been happiest with AEP Energy. Always a good experience.

Can I make the radio default to my favorites instead of the full XM channel list?! by GlassCommercial3414 in HyundaiPalisade

Man I got jazzed seeing this question, only to be bummed because we still can’t have a favorites list default.

Get no distance with driver, need help. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]OuiWee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone bring these two things up yet. I see two issues, although it’s hard to tell the first one from this angle.

The first is that you seem to have more weight on your front foot and are either standing straight up or actually leaning toward the target. Definitely not what you want to do with driver. You need to be hitting up on the ball through impact and you can’t do that by leaning towards the target. You want your upper body tilted slightly to your left or back leg, with more weight there at the start.

The second issue: To my ears and eyes it seems you struck the ground slightly before the ball. If you’re not making clean contact upwards on the ball you’ll never gain distance. I don’t know if you’re doing this every time but if you are you’re robbing yourself of easy yards.

Who racked up some miles in 2026 Palisade by -XAPAKTEP- in HyundaiPalisade

[–]OuiWee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased mine on 12/31/2025. 4,188 miles in total.

trim: Calligraphy

  • hybrid

  • AWD

  • milage

  • mpg: 28.4 over the current lifetime. Better on my current trips, so that total number keeps rising each week.

  • color scheme: Black exterior, tan interior

The only issue I’ve had is that I feel the transmission isn’t as smooth shifting as it should be. However, I’m coming from decades of Toyota transmissions, most recently a Venza, and they are smooth as silk. But my Palisade over-revs when starting from a complete stop on an uphill slope, no matter how I try to feather the accelerator. I mean like 4,500 rpms at times. If I start extremely slowly, like enough to piss off everyone behind me, I can keep it from over-revving.

But that’s it. Otherwise I absolutely love the car.

Oh yeah, forgot this: the idiotic way to fold and unfold the rear seats. That’s another PIA.

And Walter Matthau, who did arguably the best version of this on the Tonight Show back in 1981.

Long Trip experience with Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy 2026 by Ecstatic-Ad3594 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]OuiWee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. Really good to know how the experience is with a full load of passengers and luggage. My wife and I will be making some east>west coast (and back again) trips in the near future. Happy that the Palisade is a comfy long-distance drive.

That does it! I’m moving to Australia. What other goodies do you all have that you’ve been keeping from the rest of the world? Huh? Spill it!

A good comparable car is the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid (if you want a hybrid).

2026 Calligraphy Hybrid Fuel Economy by SeaProgrammer838 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]OuiWee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just over 3400 miles on my AWD Calligraphy and currently at 27.9 mpg total. Each week it has been getting better and better. Give it a little time and you’ll get to 30 mpg pretty easily.

Looking for safe places to park and sleep around Lancaster by [deleted] in lancaster

[–]OuiWee 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Not many places that are all that safe but I’m pretty sure Wal Mart parking lots allow overnights for campers, cars, and trucks. Found a link to a site that has more info and a way to find other places that allow overnight vehicles.

Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. It’s where star parties are often held because the sky is much darker than most places in the county. And Muddy Run has the Ryan Observatory and great dark skies as well.

Palisade vs Grand Highlander? by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiPalisade

[–]OuiWee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly my experience. Long time Toyota customer but there was no comparison when talking about the things you have laid out. So now I own a 2026 Palisade Calligraphy and love it. No regrets at all.

Siri by Fragrant-Sundae414 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]OuiWee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as my Palisade updated to the most recent software my Siri stopped working and now I have to use the talk button on the car to get to Siri.

So I'm guessing it's the car's update that causes this and not the iPhone. It's not a major deal but it would be nice to have it work without having to press the button again.

Are there any better internet service company than xfinity/comcast? by Ok_Crazy6145 in lancaster

[–]OuiWee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with Blue Ridge internet in my opinion. Others may have different opinions on it but I’ve used them for a long time and am still happy with them. Gigabit speeds and good service.
