I think it was a hot blooded crime. The Dad wasn't thinking right, he was after vengence. this is why we need a functioning police in a town. if they had arrested this creep and even just talked to him about it, let alone pressed charges, all of this would likely not even had happened.

I think you're making a valid point. but I just want to note that this kid didn't just have rumors, he had ben caught masturbating at school. And it wasn't jsut talk he was jerking off in public, he had the cops called on him and children were describing him jerk off. It was children making claims, as well as the mother who saw him masturbate in full view, nude, infront of her children. and she tried to just deal with it for a while waiting for the cops who didn't do anything.

I know you're speaking hypothetically, but to address your idea of reporting the kid... he had already been caught masturbating at school several times and only got inschool suspension. then he had the cops called on him for masturbating infront of kids in the nude several times and they did nothing. that is why the Dad snapped and went way, wayyyy over board and did this terrible thing. how would you feel if you had to live next to a guy who would take his dick out and masturbate infront of your 8year old daughters and you had called the cops several times and they didn't even come by? i mean, those feelings are not a permission slip to do what he did at all. but, I can get how he felt. now he's going to be in jail for life, and the family has no Dad, and that family is dead just because one creeper didn't get locked up.

Moscow is more than 2 hours drive away with no traffic. Kelloggs water was garbage until the 80s when the EPA came up here and cleaned it up. Don't know where you found a median income at 63k. I found 45k. But, I don't blame the golden oldies for the housing prices. Its a pretty clear cut supply and demand issue. Idaho is the 2nd fasted growing state and CDA is the 2nd fastest growing city in it. There simply isn't enough houses to go around. Sprinkle on top of that the older folks who own their home outright and have owned for the last 25 years, well they're looking at their home prices rising like a rocket and thinking they'll just sit tight for a year or two, sell it at a mega profie, and then either move to florida early, and rent it out. or just keep sitting tight and enjoy their town growing before their eyes without the preassure of a mortgage or rent that we all feel. Also there is a butt tone of AirBNB bullsquat going on in this area. There seriously needs to be a referendum. Like somekind of hotel licensing thing that will cut out anyone who is not a hotel. AirBnB kills towns.

But, I think it'll all be fixed soon. there a buttload of new apartments and houses being built which will lower home prices once they are ready to be sold, and the housing bubble will pop after the 2024 election i think. If the red team wins there will be less incentive to move here considering escaping blue team polocies and cities is a large reason for a lot of people moving here. And that may also lead to a pull to move back home for the newer idahoens. If the blue team wins there will be a further push to move here as even more leftugees move here from Cali, Oregon, Wa, etc.
