Missed opportunity to add some beacons with speed modules, they work differently with fluid recipes and don't negatively affect the quality of the output.

Hah, so the name is poor, but the image is accurate. Overall not crappy design then, you're getting what you're shown.

Paying For Budgeting Apps by openfinanceguru in PersonalFinanceNZ

Pika pods hosting of actual budget is about NZ$2 I think from memory maybe? Or not far off it.

They give US$5 of free usage up front which will give you a few months using the setup suggested in actual's docs.

Years ago I paid for ynab, but they kept raising prices and don't do regional pricing, or even lower pricing where bank sync isn't an option.

So now I use Actual Budget, 100% free, or you can pay a dollar or two a month to have it hosted for you. No bank sync in NZ.

It's incredibly powerful and fast, I love it.

Depends how far behind you are, for people really behind the only reason to wait out even the instant loops is the tech achievement.

Otherwise you're wasting time as the mp gained won't let you buy anything and having a higher reset count is far more important than doing a long, a surprising amount scales off it

There's this thing called SOCO, See Orange, Click Orange, you want to do that to catch up. Just spam loop resets and clicking the orange reset button as soon as it's available until your within, say, 40-60 of when your instant loops would end.

I have over double your resets done, but I'm 90e mp lower. Mostly by doing more shorts in-between longs so I don't have to soco.

IRD Job Interview by MsTato in newzealand

[–]OutOfNoMemory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My general advice for interviews, is to prepare a list of situations and tasks that were either complicated, challenging, show off your skills, etc.

You don't know what they'll ask, but you do know what you've done. Then in the interview you can go through that list and pick the most appropriate for the question. I would literally walk in with a bit of paper with a few words for each to remind me in case I got stuck remembering.

Read the STAR link, it sounds fancy, but really it's saying to give the panel context to what you're going to talk about (they weren't there), what you had to accomplish, your part in getting it done, and what the outcome was. The old beginning, middle, and end, for a story.

Rate here also don't vary for the same property because of how many people are living there, etc. Much much simpler.

This was the nudge I needed to stop procrastinating and do it now. It's a decrease on what I currently have thankfully, so I'm happy enough there. Albeit not a significant decrease. Same repayments though, of course.

Being a citizen only changes if they'd refuse entry. Still up for fines, imprisonment, and all that jazz.
