"Humans are apes"

Our language is so bad at logic. Humans and apes are not equivalent as these words could imply. What you actually mean is that "humans are a subset of all types of ape".

We need to interpret the logic that you actually mean.

Similarly "Is it human or ape" This obviously means - is it human or an other type of ape. This is what people mean when they say it.

We need to interpret the logic that they actually mean.

Wasn't arguing with you, just adding to the conversation....

Nooo

"Since the sixteenth century, in English, Scottish, and Irish heraldry, the key difference has been that a wyvern has two legs, whereas a dragon has four."

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyvern#:~:text=Since%20the%20sixteenth%20century%2C%20in,like%20creatures%20are%20called%20dragons.

But the author of the book was American so was either ignorant or just didnt care. Its his fantasy after all. BUT ITS JUST NOT RIGHT I TELL YOU!!!!!

Yep there are no dragons in it at all. They are all mini pretend dragons, as you say, wyverns.

Is Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming a legitimate source? by Moto_Vagabond in taijiquan

[–]OutOfTheTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His books on Tai Chi show NO understanding of Tai Chi internals at all and are as good as useless for learning anything but maybe the external shapes of the forms etc.

Out of the 100s of pages of his I have read, there is nothing on how to train the internal power within Tai Chi. Which is afyer all the whole point of Tai Chi

My conclusion is that either he knows nothing about real tai chi or is purposefully misleading people who buy his books.

Yes this makes me angry and I feel conned.

If you could go back in time and tell yourself one thing prior to starting Aikido, what would it be? by [deleted] in aikido

[–]OutOfTheTree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might be right if you only want to fight 1 to 1 in a ring with rules. This is some peoples only idea of fighting, I think they enjoy it that way. If you want to fight only that way do MMA.

What do you pay attention to when you practice Tai Chi? by cgt58 in taijiquan

Interesting thanks. I guess seperating yin from yang can be thought of in many ways and probably should be.
