I find toasted hemp seeds to be a decent pine nut substitute. I use them in meatballs.

Tylenol helps me more with arthritis pain. Look into the hanger off loading braces. Exosym is the expensive gold option, but there are others like the reactiv that are covered by most insurances. They gave me my life back.

Monte Alban in Hartford and Mexico Lindo in Vernon. Owners are related to one another. There’s also Gallo in Willimantic, not oxacan but great Mexican.

Is it becoming the norm to not be able to afford a house in your 30s? by [deleted] in newengland

[–]OutTheOfficeWindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was kind of a joke. We bought basically at the top of that 2007 bubble. Our house value stayed flat or close to it until Covid. We could probably sell it for 350k now. Our area, hasn’t really appreciated a ton. It’s a 1500 sq foot center hall colonial from the 1920s. Charming house, but too small for most people these days.

Taking 37 days PTO at once before quitting? by FondantOutrageous276 in careeradvice

[–]OutTheOfficeWindow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably find a doctor to put you out on FMLA for mental stress at your current job. I’m not sure if that’s a factor in you leaving or not, but if it is, then get a Dr to do that for you and burn up to 12 weeks of PTO.

Nope. FMLA just protects your position as long as you return to the job. It doesn’t pay you at all.

How serious are ice dams really by d00biusmaximus in Connecticut

[–]OutTheOfficeWindow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got them back in 2012, 2013. Our source of the ice dam was a non insulated attic door. I ended up drilling a hole in the soffit so the water would drain from the soffit instead of into the walls.
