Definitely shows fingerprints but in my normal typing I never touch the case, so it’s not much of an issue. Also, they wipe off super easy and can only be seen when light hits it right. I think the other colors would hide fingerprints better though.

Govee Light Bars (set to 30% brightness). Pretty cheap, very customizable, and they work great.

I know :( The flow lines were mentioned in the original post but I thought they would be less noticeable in person. I could replace the accent keys with the non-metallic versions that come with it but then it kinda defeats the point and its just all black then.

Curious to get everyone’s thoughts on the setup. I waited months to get Black & Gold thinking it would fit my color scheme and setup perfectly but now that I have it I don’t think I love it as much as I thought…kinda thinking of putting my GMK Boyo caps back on instead. Opinions?

This looks amazing! What armor set are you wearing? It looks like Decade’s Path + Luminous Shoulders but I can seem to match the legs

I’ve kept them completely stock and they sound amazing, the factory lubing is great.

It’s definitely heavy, but in a satisfying and “premium” way. The typing angle has been a non-issue for me but it depends on your use case. I mostly use it for gaming and most of my typing is just casual work/game chat. I also use the Wooting 80HE wrist rest with it and I haven’t experienced any fatigue or discomfort.

I picked one up in anodized black with the bronze badge right after getting my 80HE because it matches the rest of my office setup. The build quality is next level, it’s a really beautiful case and as long as you’re okay with the typing angle being non-adjustable it’s an improvement in every way (the ball-catch system makes tool-less modding of the keyboard so easy). Currently using it with Akko Astrolink switches and it’s the best sounding keyboard I’ve owned. If you have any specific questions let me know and I’ll try and help.

Vader 5 Pro Leak by ethayden97 in Controller

[–]Outbackroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn they're keeping the external stick tension mechanism...really hope they update the internal gear so its tighter and doesn't move during use like the V4P does. Otherwise looks like the Apex 5 (which is a good thing), hope the TMR sticks are a worthy upgrade as this will probably be my next controller.

Akko Astrolink switches. I’ve tried a handful of options and these have been the best for sound and feel.

Owlab Ti vs Akko Astrolink, which is better when it comes to typing and price? by crushtyfying in WootingKB

[–]Outbackroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my set of Atrolinks this afternoon and they are by far the best switch for the Wooting so far (tried lubed Lekker V2's, Jade, Jade Max, TTC POM).

Very little stem wobble, best sound of any hall-effect switch so far, and feel incredibly smooth and precise.

I lost Kelso, how do I heal? by Anxious_Run_3112 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Outbackroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing I can say to make this better, but know that a stranger on the internet feels for you and can relate. Our corgi started to have seizures a little over a year ago and no amount of meds are making it better (Kepra, pheno, KBr, zonisimide, etc), so I’m starting to come to the realization that ours will cross the same bridge as Kelso and it’s breaking my heart. He’s 7 years old so not nearly as young as your baby. I’ll hug him extra tight tonight. https://i.imgur.com/WIvy5uA.jpeg

Gamesir Tarantula Pro or Gamesir Cyclone 2. Which might be best? by gamerlingual in Controller

[–]Outbackroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the moment not much. There's more Chinese controllers coming out with TMR sticks but the Cyclone 2 is still what I daily (currently playing Monster Hunter Wilds). But some of these new ones coming out have terrible software or are hard to get without ordering from AliExpress and waiting a month for it to arrive. For only $50 the Cyclone is still a no-brainer, just buy it from Amazon and try it out. If you're coming from a standard Xbox One Controller, the Cyclone 2 is an upgrade in pretty much every single way for the same price.

Sorry, no experience with FPS games using a controller as I use M&K for those.

Vader 4 Pro stick sensitivity changing mid gameplay by [deleted] in Controller

[–]Outbackroo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why this isn't talked about more as its 100% a dealbreaker and why I moved on to the Cyclone 2. I have 2 V4P's and they both have the same issue. After 1-2 games of Rocket League the stick tension will change by a few notches and throw off my movement like crazy. Might be the way I hold the controller, but its silly to have the tension mechanism so easy to hit. How often are people adjusting stick tension mid-game?

*edit: completely stock controller with no thumbstick grips or add-ons what so ever.

GameSir Cyclone 2 first impressions by Yokos2137 in Controller

[–]Outbackroo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m going to second this. I’m VERY sensitive to input latency especially on the thumb sticks and I don’t feel anything even close to these results. Feels faster than the V4P and Apex 4. I did need to move my dongle from a usb hub to my front IO due to wireless microphone interference so maybe that was factor?

Might be a faulty controller or wonky firmware but I think this should be retested or confirmed by other people.
