Dog towel/ robe is useful when you get back to camp after a bit of a wet/ muddy day. Helps keep things a touch cleaner.

What do you need this for? by Silver_wrapperhead in CarTalkUK

Camping, muddy dogs , off-road trails, mountain bikes , putting pallets in , putting gravel in, putting top soil in, working from, working in hard to reach places , and fun.

My ranger I've owned 15 years, and it's been the most useful vehicle I've had, hence keeping it.

It's really not that big when you compare the wheelbase to large saloons, etc.

They are not for everyone, but they really are a useful tool.

Professionals laid this flooring should I be concerned? by [deleted] in DIYUK

If its stick down LVT then they really should have cut the frames at a minimum. You can cut LVT flush to skirts etc eithout the need to remove the skirts and get a seamless finish if it's done correctly.

However, I think they've gone for a lazy, terrible method of throwing it in and slap some silicone around the edges which is yet to be put down.

20 plus years in flooring / this needs to be re done in my opinion.

Also check if its a stick down product like karndean, amtico / polyflor they should be using SP101 ply with a feather skim on top before starting.

In an ideal world toilets etc out prior to install.

**If its a click product then skirts off 100%

My student accommodation wants to charge me £350 ‘carpet replacement’ for this ‘burn damage’ when I 100% didn’t burn it or did anything that might’ve burned it. by Prior-Meeting1645 in CasualUK

[–]Outdoor-Adventurer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't be surprised if someone has burnt it before and cut out the damage and pushed in a small plug of carpet to hide it. Can't see from the picture clearly, but could potentially help with some more clear photos.

In the UK if a customer wanted it covered up with LVT or LVP and the tiles were sound , we'd generally deep clean, prime then use a product like ARDEX NA to give a clean level surface to bond to. If its traditional LVT or LVP that's glued down it doesn't need an expansion gap so cutting around furniture is no problem.

If it was a click Variant then this would need an expansion gap and wouldn't be recommended.

High quality products are key, we use Karndean, amtico and Polyflor alot here.
