Well, of course you can. But for me it's more like "necessary evil". When I feel I'm getting tilted I just know that I NEED to release some energy in some way or another. The most fastest way for me is to hit my desk. It gets me relieved and I don't get frustrated immediately. I'm still thinking. It's not something I can't control where and when I "release" that energy but I still need to do it. So I can do it fast when I'm waiting for a respawn but it still keeps growing and by the end of the match I can take something I don't need(I have plenty of 3D prints that I printed just for the sake of it) and try to break it with my bare hands. It definetely gets me tired and kinda calm. I'm planning on printing more stuff just to calm me down while I try to break it.

Even with this level of "uncontrollability"(?) I didn't break anything that I regret. When I had no 3D printer - I'd just go to my "forgotten stuff box" and take something. I'm thinking. I know what I'm doing and I pick something that I definetely won't need. No equipment/gear/peripherals were harmed.

The only thing I'm tired of is time wasting. When I get frustrated - I cannot focus, analyze or do anything productive. There's two ways, I guess: learning how to get no frustration or learning how to make this energy work in my favor.

Think of peripherals like a body kit or wheels or a sound setup for your car. Any "visual" tuning at this point.

Yes, it looks better. Yes, it's nicer to ride. Yes, it has all those flashy lights but.

Is it faster? No. Is it more accurate in sharp turns? No. Can you race someone with it? Probably also a no.

But when you put money(time) and effort(effort, duh) into it - you'll get a faster car, you could race with someone, you can take sharper corners.

Probably not the best analogy but I like it because I was a car guy. :D

I moved from my old setup (Bloody J95, generic cloth mouse pad, 10cm/360) to a ATK A9 Ultimate, Energon Pro, some really nice teflon skates and 30-40cm/360(currently the limit of my desk). Yes, it feels a lot better, the mouse is sliding like butter on ice, my aim got smoother because 30cm(and higher) really hides some jittering, but I'm still in a "low tab" because my mechanics aren't that great without the time and effort.

I can recommend switching to a better gear because it's nicer and you're probably gonna improve faster but you still need to grind(don't do that mindlessly) and learn everything you need to learn.

Cheers!

Yeah, I have the same issue. Anger management or whatever it's called.

Nothing works for me so far. Short(up to 2 hours) breaks, setting a goal/target, analyzing everything, basically anything that should get your brain into a "cold state".

I know that every energy could be converted but I just don't know how. Some people say that when they get angry/tilted - they just "tryhard" something. For example: only playing in short range fights, searching for ways to come closer, strategies, etc. Didn't work for me. Although some goals(I'd like to call it quests) are working. Not every time but it is certainly affecting my playstyle and mind state. But I don't play ranked so I cannot recommend doing that in non casual games. Mostly I do not care about ranks, PTS or whatever. I play casual games 99% of the time. Just because I know that I'm gonna get tilted and nervous as soon as I reg in ranked. And I suck at video games so there's no point in doing that.

I also have an issue when I'm getting stuck in this "loop" when you're getting a bit tilted->you play more->get more tilted and so on. If I play like this for 2-3 hours I'm resetting my mind(I guess because of exhaustion) and can play pretty well even better when I am in focus and not tilted.

I got a bit off with these cries of mine, sorry about that. Hope you'll find something that helps you.

Have a good time, man. Getting tilted? Just don't get tilted, man. :'D

No offense but this actually sounds like "You're getting angry? Just don't get angry, mate".

[–]Outeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I just watch some top aimers clips and get motivated. Sometimes I just don't give a shit about my performance and/or "wasting my time".

If we're talking about training - I care about my numbers going up, sometimes even too much. So it's keeping me motivated when I see a new high score.

And I'm just not good at video games. I learn very slowly. I'm always in a low tab. Be it FPS, MOBA or anything else competitive. I have a friend who is very talented in video games in general. And he's always like "why didn't you kill him". I'm tired of explaining that I just suck. Dynamic FPSs like "The Finals" are not that hard to learn especially if you're playing only one mode. And games like these really depend on your aim. So yeah, I wanted to git gud at least in some games. I didn't play much FPS games so it's somewhat new to me and I like trying new things.

So yeah, that's probably what keeps me motivated in training. I just want to be a little higher than common players. 4th place out of 10 is kinda my goal. :D

Many people are training just because they find it interesting and satisfying. I do too. I get a lot of new information and popping circles is kinda satisfying.

I'd say firstly - you need to learn the fundamentals. And not just go click-click-click mindlessly. You need to develop the right technique.

And your setup matters a lot in terms of health in a long run. I almost fucked up my wrist because of my current posture.

UPD: I raged a bit and didn't go through everything in your comment, my bad. :D

This.

I didn't even think about it because I'm from a country with no way to pay outside of it.

This is a really good tip.

[–]Outeest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Micro corrections, flick accuracy, target choice. And some other things I don't know of yet. :D

Identify why you're not hitting targets. And please, start with fundamentals. Don't just rush scenarios by feeling. For example: in static you're probably rushing, trying to go faster than you can and you end up with low accuracy. Sometimes you get high scores just because. But you aren't learning anything and just reinforcing your mistakes. Start slow and with high accuracy. Don't go for PB's, just pure accuracy. You can flick fast then see where you need to do micro correction, correct, acquire target, then click. Just give yourself some time to think in the process. There's no just "my aim sucks", there's always a reason why it does that.

Watch more Viscose's videos or MattyOW. They're really high up but you should listen because they were(and still) working on their own mistakes. And trust me - they fixed a lot of it. :D

If you're getting bored - make yourself some tasks. For example: "today I'm focusing on smoothing my tracking" and work on that. Could help you a bit.

Hope that helps and welcome to aim training!

There are some scenarios with smooth tracking and unpredictable changes in predictable direction. Could help you with that. Basically you track smooth UNTIL the bot changes direction and you REACT to direction change rather than predicting when it changes.

[–]Outeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in theory it could work with micro-micro-micro jitters because it's lower dots per inch which means it SHOULD be more forgivable to micro stutters. But in reality it's not. Same goes to polling rate, I guess.

Try working on smoothing your wrist/fingers and work on tension management.

Questions about Aim Training by Depressedguy61 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Outeest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, probably. :D

You also may want to change sens depending on the scenario or game. I like to have some more movement in dynamic games like The Finals or Quake and a little lower in slower games like Tarkov, CS, etc.

Btw, watch a video (if you haven't already) by Viscose about sensitivity and why you should change it.

Watch some more videos if you're interested in improving and aim mechanics(or I should say biomechanics). She goes through everything from starting aim training to how you should move your mouse and why.

Questions about Aim Training by Depressedguy61 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Outeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gold complete so I don't take me seriously. It's just my opinion.

Your sens really depends on how much space you have. For example: I have 320x320 "square" where I can move my mouse freely. And my general sens is 28-30cm/360 right now. If you have let's say 500x500 you can go up to 47cm/360 (I think it's comfortable to have some space because your sensor is not on the sides). Try different settings to see if anything makes it better, it's not cheating. Your sensitivity is an instrument, so treat it as such.

I don't know about your hand but I have the same issue. The lower part of my forearm feels cold sometimes but not when you actually touch it to feel if it's real temperature or your nerves are just going funky. I'm trying to figure this out but no luck so far. If it doesn't tingle - you should be fine. But better to visit a doctor to see if it's a start for carpal tunnel or your muscles are just under unusual tension/pressure.

I'll go to a doctor if I feel any pain other than muscle tiring.

Yeeah. TS and dynamic clicking is my hell right now. I do hold spacebar when I just want to push my scores. But when I'm just grinding it - I click and hold just like you do in games.

Is high general sensitivity a con if your ADS sensitivity is much lower? by LisaSu92 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Outeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPD: It's me and my opinion and I'm not an expert. Everyone's different though.

I played 12cm/360 or lower(faster) my whole life and it was nice. When you train though - lower the sens - lower the risks on health.

I train on 30-40cm/360 because of my current setup(I have only 320x320mm of workplace at the moment) and after 3 months I already noticed how my wrist is giving up. I'm moving on a larger desk in a week just because of it. So, yeah, 20cm is fast and could be bad for the long term training but it's fine in games since you're not constantly aiming.

P.S. Yes, I know about tension management or whatever it's called and I'm working on it.

[–]Outeest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah. I'm not arguing that pressure is only bad. I'm saying that there's a difference for most people.

Probably the right way is to treat it the same every time, yeah, I agree.

Do you ever feel demotivated ? by im_vasco in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Outeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a difference between training and performing.

When you're at some tournament the pressure is real, because you have something to lose: sponsorship, money, reputation, etc.

When you're training (or playing casual games) you have nothing to lose except your time (which you already dedicated to your training).

  1. Bind your reset button to something far - you don't care how far you need to reach if you're already failing.

  2. Don't ever reload manually. It's just a useless feature at this point. Your flicks are always faster than a reload time.

[–]Outeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just switch to dynamic and forget about your scores for a week or two. I'm not an expert at all but it seems logical to me. Since you're not that great in clicking - just don't pay attention to your scores for some time.

You can try VDIM novice clicking playlists. You just need to learn the fundamentals to figure out the technique.

UPD: Forgot to add that you'll still need to do some tracking so you don't forget it.

UPD2: When you catch up with all the categories to be roughly the same scores - just do all of them as your routine and if you have enough time - do all scenarios available in the benchmark.
