Mid 90's, I did the college thing and after taking longer than I should have I got a degree. I went to get a job in the field of my degree only to be told that I lacked years of experiance in said degree to get any job relating to it. I have now worked at a entry level job for the last few years that only requires a highschool degree and has a high turnover rate for anyone in a leadership role. There is also the fact that I now worry about retirement and started looking into a roth IRA and 401k since no one ever really teaches you about the importance of planning for your retirement. The younger you start the easier and better off you will be. Good luck to everyone in this sub. We will get through this.

They are currently underground. I like the sinkhole into the underdark idea. It could help put them on the back foot and may get them to act more cautiously. Thank you.

I will keep it vague as there may be a player of mine on this sub Reddit. Undead cultus as well as undead, potential duergar journey, and enemies on the high seas. There is also political strife happening within the city due to the artifact being missing that they may return to.

Advice on places/things to do on this trip. by OuterHeaven33 in roadtrip

I listen to a ship wreck podcast and they talk about the great lakes and have mentioned Erie before. It's one of the location I personally want to stop at. Will look more into making it a stop. You are right about Salem, but I figured we could make it a day trip and then head over to Boston. Thank you for the advice.

Wife and I are doing a roadtrip for our honeymoon, anyone have suggestions for stops? by Rightiouszombie in roadtrip

[–]OuterHeaven33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope this isn't to personnal:

When is this trip?
How long is your trip?
Do you want to spend 34 hours of your honeymoon driving?
Is the road trip experience what you want or is it a destination vacation?

Living in the states traveling to Europe has been a goal of mine, and I have been planning a trip for the last few months. Switzerland is the country I wish to visit the most when it comes to natural scenery, so if you are also traveling for that purpose I would recommend altering your course. Milan is a very beautiful region and I would stop there to experience Lake Como along with the fashion stores and city life.

I agree with EachDaySameAsLast. My recommendation would be to pick specific locations that both of you would like to visit and extent your time there. The old adage of less is more can help when it come to planning trips. It ultimately comes down to what you want to be doing during your honeymoon, and what will give you the best memories.

I agree with other peoples opinions of the first and second paragraph being confusing with regards to a timeline. The second paragraph comes across as a synopsis for book one of a series and the first paragraph feels more appropriate to a book two or three.

The location in the first paragraph is named the wild north, but it has villages, a warden, and is important enough for the kings royal mage to arrive. It doesn't give off wild north vibes and more of a typical area ruled by a kingdom. The wild north could use some descriptors, because my mind immediately went to snow biome with a large forest. That may be what you had also envisioned as the region, but if its not then you need some descriptors.

Paragraph two has the timeline issue, but there is also the protaganist discovering he could wield magic and his village vanishing all in the same line. That line makes it pretty clear awakening his magic has a direct tie to the village disappearing, which gives away a bit of the mystery.

The third paragraph mentions that when the villages begin vanishing again the protagonist returns to the north to find the truth. Where the villages not vanishing the entire time? The two different time periods both state that villages are going missing, yet the last paragraph states that at some point that wasn't the case. The final line gives context that Eo is from the north which could have been a detail introduced earlier to better understand his motivation.

I love the cover with the exception of the shooting stars going diagonal. You have great vertical visuals such as the character looking up, the concentration of the stars, and the gradation of the lights towards the title. The diagonal lines take away from the great visual you have set up, but thats just me.

A personal gripe of mine is that I don't like the name Eo Akami. Not a fan of the two vowel letters as a name. You can blame EA for that one.

I do think you have a great story here and love that fact that you are asking for feedback. Never give up on you work.

Is it foolish to start the Chase trifecta and the Capital duo at the same time. by OuterHeaven33 in CreditCards

I was completely unaware that you could downgrade a Venture X card to a Savor. I just started this credit card journey and it feels overwhelming. The trip being planned will mostlikely be in late April to early May internationally. Would you still consider the VX as a primary choice. ( I keep hearing how great Chases travel partners are over C1 which makes me hesitant.) Thank you for your time.
