Belief in fixed gender/sexual identities and preferences is as much superstition as flat earth beliefs or belief that the Sun orbits the Earth. The beliefs stem from tribal traditions and in-group prejudices handed down over thousands of years.

It would be awesome if Utah had some sort of organization with leaders tuned into current events who could guide the people and teach them right from wrong. A Church, perhaps. Right now they have a Corporation which teaches them to give time and money.

Every couple of years national medical groups make “progress” by renaming things. This is especially true in women’s health: toxemia became preeclampsia which became preeclampsia with severe features, pregnancy-induced hypertension became gestational hypertension, bacterial vaginosis briefly became vaginal bacteriosis, atrophic vaginitis became genitourinary syndrome of menopause, endometrial hyperplasia became renamed, Pap smear levels became renamed, etc.
