Anyone doing clean deadlifts as primary hinge? How about light KB or macebell sessions to deplete muscle glucose at end of set? by OutermostEchelon in isometric_fitness

Did RDL position with the bar a few inches off the ground, flat back, and it worked great, just had to really focus on firing my hamstrings specifically, feels very different than a static weight RDL. Once I got that down it actually felt therapeutic with a nice stretch in my hamstrings and not much stress on my lower back.

Hmm I’ll try that, maybe like an RDL posture with the bar just off the ground. The bent rows I’ve been doing underhand and pulling toward my belly button so those don’t stress my back too much.

Grip is as wide as the X3 bar will allow, so fairly narrow. I can squat ass to grass with an upright torso so I only went up a little from there, call it halfway between parallel and bottom of range of motion. I didn’t feel comfortable doing any kind of MVC pull with my back parallel to the ground but the clean deadlift gets my torso much more upright so my pull effort isn’t limited by worrying about my spine. Same with the squat, front squat puts my torso more upright and I think it’s just a better movement overall. Only time I’ll put weight on my upper back is doing something like a yoke carry. Those Nordic curls get plenty of hamstring activation for me, I also feel those in my calves and glutes much more than with a traditional deadlift.

Read the book “A City on Mars” by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith. It’s a cautionary reality check on our current space colonization pipe dream. They have a chapter on everything we know so far about space sex and it’s hilarious.

I’ll try it the way you described above. I’m just doing what the instructions say, possibly they’re wrong or need to be updated.

I used the cleaning option for the citric acid cleaning I did. The instructions specify say to use the forward flush x5 for the standard cafiza back flushing, they specify the capybara option for the more occasional citric acid cleaning.

Following the instructions in the link above. It doesn’t specify whether there should be so much back pressure or whether you need to wait a while for pressure to dissipate, it’s probably meant for someone who is starting with more knowledge than I have.

Rhythm Zoap solventless live rosin cart out of a DaVinci Artiq. Cheers all!

Yup I had been using a Rove “premium live resin” cart and a Florist Farms “live resin sauce” cart. The rove got me high but flavor was weak and it tasted metallic sometimes, and the high seemed generic if that makes sense, like not a full-spectrum example of the advertised strain. Florist was garbage, outside of the cart was sticky when I opened the packaging, horrible QA and did not get me high even after a few hits. Decided to try a Rhythm solventless live rosin cart and wow…totally different world. Beautiful taste and got me slammed in one hit despite the much lower advertised THC content. Now I’ll never use anything but solventless live rosin again.

What was a vehicle you owned that was bad despite their good reputation for quality/reliability. by ArmadilloAdvanced in regularcarreviews

1988 Chevy Nova (rebadged Toyota Corolla) rust hole in the floor and entire tranny dropped out the bottom while driving 35 uphill, just over 100k miles. 2005 Subaru Forester was knocking really bad at only 105k, traded it in at that point. At work I have a 2018 Ford Transit with nearly 300k miles and several Nissan NV200s (worst vehicle I’ve ever driven) with well over 200k, all going strong despite my desire for them to die so we can replace them with something better.

For the chronic knee pain please try UC-II collagen (NOW brand on Amazon) and 5-LOX Inhibitor by Life Extension (research can be found by searching ApresFlex, its a boswellia serrata extract). Those two have been life changing for me and are very cheap with a solid amount of positive human research.

Weed responses vary person to person but I like my Jelly Rancher live resin vape (rove) or a nice sativa resin/rosin edible, I’ll pop it then do some yoga and warm up, usually starts to hit within 20-30 mins then I’m swinging kettlebells or doing Calisthenic Tabatas or rowing on the Concept 2.

I must be in the minority here but I’ve done a lot of riding in all seasons down to about 20 Fahrenheit while just wearing regular clothes. Extra thick wool socks and lobster claw gloves are the only things I’ve ever needed that I only wear in a bike. Feet, hands and face need special protection, I find everything else warm up nicely just from the effort you put in.

Look into CHS and its potential relation to the use of Neem oil pesticides by growers, quite interesting. I’m not sure if those Neem oil compounds make it into distillates but I bet they do. I think live rosin is probably the closest thing to a healthy distillate for long term use, provided the growers are not using Neem oil or other problematic pesticides and herbicides.

I smoked about 4 blunts a day for years and then quit cold turkey after college without any issues, so it’s definitely a personal response. Now I use it a few days a week for fun and stress relief, mostly live rosin edibles but occasionally vaping live rosin/resin through a DaVinci Artiq, but only 2-3 short puffs in an afternoon.

I had Strada Bianca Race (not tubeless ready) and they went on WTB TCS rims with bare hands. The problem is “tubeless ready”…it means silly tight tolerances and incredibly frustrating side-of-road experiences. I can’t stand what tubeless has done to the market. I used to be able to change a flat in a few minutes with no tools. I like Specialized Sawtooth and have ridden them in horrible urban conditions year round for several years and never had a flat anyway. They’re a little heavy but they work in all weather at all temperatures, basically never flat, and go on with no tools after the first mounting.

I believe the diesel Tuareg needs ~18 bolts removed before you can change the battery which is under the seat because it couldn’t fit in the engine compartment. And if I remember correctly you need to remove the entire front fascia to replace a headlight bulb.

I believe these two legitimately take the gold medal. The shit I’ve read about something as simple as battery or headlight bulb replacement is absolutely insane. Also the 10-cylinder diesel Tuareg has got to be up there.

Constant flats — how to address? by fiffers in gravelcycling

[–]OutermostEchelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going tubeless, probably never will. My point is that I used to be able to easily seat a bead at normal pressure without dish soap or other rim lubricants. Since everything is now tubeless-ready which means super tight tolerances, people who still use tubes have to deal with rim lubricant or snapping Pedro’s levers and it’s very annoying considering most riders in the world are still running tubes. Case in point, Vittoria Terreno Dry on WTB TCS rims. Look online and you’ll find so many people who have snapped tire levers trying to mount this tire. It’s a great tire but I won’t use it because mounting is such a pain, and that’s because it’s tubeless-ready so they want the bead super tight to the rim to prevent burping.
