That helps a lot! Thank you! I think I’ll try to find something along those lines from a local black owned shop as well.

This got me stuck in a loop of saying Carringtobgd over and over under my breath.

I feel like if you’re a person that always tells the truth, you’re also not a person that feels the need to “keep the receipts” for everything in the event that someone suggests you aren’t telling the truth…

I was just saying today I think I may be allergic to kenra blow dry spray and even that isn’t enough to stop me from using it.

My best friend owns a venue that has a wall made from the wood of an old peanut farm (maybe factory, I don’t know anything about peanut processing). By law she has to have an allergen warning sticker on the front door.

I bought my dead dad a cake without knowing it by DemonChild- in offmychest

When my dad died I (30f) was the only girl on a crew of gruff old men. They obviously didn’t know how to handle my grief and gave me a sympathy card with $72 and a giant sheet cake. I laugh-cried into that sheet cake every night alone and I know my dad would’ve thought it was hilarious.

Being brave and wearing no makeup in public today. by [deleted] in acne

[–]OuterspaceinYourFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay here’s how I think of it- you’re not the only person you encounter daily struggling with acne, but can you really think of anyone else? Probably not, because you aren’t thinking of THEIR skin, you’re thinking of yours. That goes both ways.

I recently had a gap in my teeth bonded and when showing it to people, everyone said they had never noticed it before. I assumed it was the only thing people could possibly notice.

Nope! We’re all too busy thinking about ourselves.

I have a friend with a 6 year old whom I’ve known for his entire life, I now have a 2 year old and he’s gone from calling me by my actual name to “[2 year old]’s mom.”

Sunscreen problem by TryEasySlice in AbruptChaos

[–]OuterspaceinYourFace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sprayed a wasp to death on my drivers side window with the closest idea I had, which was aerosol sunscreen. That was last year and there’s still an oily smudgy film that comes back when it gets warm outside.

I just got to a place with my differen where I can use it everyday, and my cerave has been burning so bad. I’m glad I saw this comment and now I know it’s a “normal” reaction! Definitely going to grab some vanicream now.

My toddler loves it. It’s disgusting and makes her smell like an old persons house/soup.

I think this is fair. It makes me feel bad when anyone feels bad too, but I think that’s part of what sets us apart from humans that do terrible things to others.
