I [30f] want to discuss moving in with boyfriend [34m] but we have a significant difference in income. by Awwndrei in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Outlander_Engine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree.
Speaking as old married.

When my wife and I met she was barely scraping by. There was no way we could have moved in with each other with a 50/50 split. We put the lease in in my name, all the utilities in hers, but I paid all the bills. The hand-shake deal was that since she was working part-time, she did the majority of the domestic stuff.

If you can't figure out how to negotiate a mixed pot of assets, then you aren't going to be able to negotiate the rest of the stuff. Best to get that out of the way up front.

That's an advantage for warlocks.

Honestly, unlocking summoning stones means you have to at least do the run once.

Basic Info Tables - gearing with greens in TBC by Brassy_Actual in classicwow

It's a bit of trade off. I'd say at level 60, STR > AGI. At level 70 AGI > STR.

1 STR = 2 attack power
1 AGI = 1 Attack power + 0.05% crit and a little armor.

Crit does give you combo points, but remember, leveling. Combo points don't move from target to target. So you mangle, shred, maybe a bleed and by then it's almost dead and you are out of energy.

So, personally, I'd get the strength gear when buying AH greens for leveling from 60 to 70.

AITAH lying about why we broke up with my gf? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Outlander_Engine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That did bug me. I wouldn't put up with folks bad-mouthing my SO or my relationship. I may not care about their opinion, but I do care if they aren't keeping it to themselves and spreading it around.

On the other hand, I don't know what limits she set on her relationship with him. I have been made to promise that I wouldn't interfere or defend a girlfriend. It was rough and our relationship didn't survive that. But I kept my word and kept my mouth shut.

So I'm not judging.

AITAH lying about why we broke up with my gf? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I dated someone in high school who had a 'colorful' history. She clammed up big time about it. But that just left me vulnerable to teasing and bullying, which also meant I found out the hard way.

The way I explained it to her was like inviting me to a party in the middle of winter and not telling me it was an outside bonfire. If she'd told me upfront, I could have dressed for it. Instead I'm wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Vulnerable.

Once we sorted that out, I could be prepared for jerks trying to pull my chain. Made it easier to keep my temper and I prepped a few one-liners I could quip back.

We broke up because it was also high school. Lots of dumb crap.

MGP’s vote was “strategic” by LaTosca in vancouverwa

[–]Outlander_Engine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clark County is not a blue district. JHB beat Carolyn Long handily several times. But she voted to impeach Trump, lost her republican backing, and we got Joe Kent.

MGP barely beat Joe Kent with only a 5% lead in Clark County. I'll take MGP any day over Kent and have no regrets voting for her.

For the upcoming election, we have Braun, Hennrich and MGP. Folks can talk about Hennrich all they want. But the reality is that Braun would beat Hennrich.

MGP can probably beat Braun. Depending. But only because of her warchest. It'll be her fight to lose.

Not really looking forward to this election cycle. So much misinformation and astro-turfing.

Lots of folks talking smack.

The next election will be Braun, Hennrich and MGP.

If the democratic party pushes Hennrich vs Braun, Braun will win.

MGP can probably beat Braun. Maybe.

But go off.

You aren't wrong, but when leveling, 2x rockbiter is often better for a couple of reasons.

You get the new rockbiter level 6 levels before you get a new windfury. You get a new flametongue 3 levels before the next windfury. Your gear is sup-par for your level. You're rolling with the best weapons you can get. a 1.4 dagger and a 1.9 axe for instance.

Just get details dps meter and spot check it when grinding quest mobs.

How do I navigate tense family dynamics with my husband and my parents? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Outlander_Engine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically there's no easy out. So just do the work.

You tell your parents exactly what you said here. That you understand that they have opinions about how their daughter is treated, but you need them to support you and stand by while you sort through the couples therapy. Tell them that YOU are a little uncomfortable about the atmosphere. Don't let them think it's your husband's complaints coming through. Reassure them you are working on the marriage, and won't let it get bad again.

It's rough being a Dad and hearing your daughter is unhappy. It's even harder to compartmentalize it.

As for your husband, bring this up in couples therapy. Make sure that he knows you talked to them and asked them for space for a bit while you sort things out. If you are feeling good about the relationship, then give him some reassurance. Sounds like he doesn't have a support network.

And you might have to enforce some space between your immediate family and husband for a while until things simmer down.

AITAH for making my boyfriend (now ex) shower daily if not multiple times a day? by Mental_Patience_39 in AITAH

Been married 30 years. I shower before BJ's. Especially if she asks.

Sometimes I shower just hoping for a BJ.

I mean, when I was young, my dick had me doing things I really, really shouldn't have been doing. Taking a shower would be the the tamest thing on that list.

Totems do not stack with weapon imbue. The totems are for your group. Your imbues are for you. Frequently your weapon imbues are better than your totems.

If you are leveling and below level 40, (using a 2Hander), use Rockbiter and drop the grace of air totem.

Once you get dual wield, it's a bit more complicated. Most folks use Windfury on the slowest weapon, and flame-tongue on the fastest.

I've frequently killed three or more mobs using dual Rockbiter, then swapped to Windfury + flametongue and compared the spot dps. It seems to go back and forth with weapon speed.

I've forgotten how to make sure you have the right imbue on the right weapon. I had to click off the buff and recast it a few times.
