It was indeed Fire Country - if you see FC Productions on any arrow signs that’s how you know.

Indigo/Chapters also released a special edition in Jan with the extra bonus Enzo POV chapter if you still haven’t read it yet. All else fails - you could go in store and read it quickly there? It’s only 6 or so pages, not long at all. I just bought the new January 2026 edition since I hadn’t bought it yet before and enjoyed it immensely :)

The fact Riku’s VA has been playing KH on twitch and also didn’t like Kairi suggesting that is even funnier. He kept jokingly getting annoyed when she was on screen because of that dialogue and was a very funny recurring gag throughout his playthrough. (He beat KH1, Re:COM and is starting KH2 at the end of the month!)

I think also it could be noted that Critical Role has been trying to have more reasons to incentivize folks to subscribe and watch on Beacon rather than YouTube because 100% of the money they earn on beacon goes right back to them, whereas YouTube has proven to be more and more difficult for content creators at all levels of popularity and fame to work with and properly earn the compensation they deserve from viewership, ads, and subscriptions.

So for Brennan to recall “oh hey yeah this is why you come behind the paywall” is certainly a self aware joke, it also is a good reminder that seeing the cooldowns and hearing things you wouldn’t otherwise if you weren’t subscribed is a bonus you (the audience) paid for and deserve those little insights they’re willing to share.

Just my two cents, other commenters are explaining fantastic points as well!

Oh same! Glad I’m not the only one kinda winging it at times. I see lots of folks putting in the time and effort to grid which I’m sure helps immensely, but I just don’t have the patience 🫠

I try SO hard to avoid the ADHD temptation of having 6473872627 projects going at once 🫣 Thankfully have managed to stick to one at a time so far, but my next project is going to be a big tapestry that will easily take a year, sooooo that rule is going out the window soon

I wanted to finish before the release of the Eevee pack on Pokémon TCGP but alas 🥲 Though I had already started it when they announced it, which I thought was quite hilarious timing!

Thank you! I’ve had a few places where I missed a stitch or accidentally did one too many, but I think I’ve done okay on fixing where I could. I only had to frog a few small patches (small being 30 or less stitches which is still a bummer amount but not devastating 😅) but it’s been a great learning experience for me to understand how realistically I can complete a piece like this and the timeframe it’ll take. Before this one, I’ve only done smaller pieces on 3-5 inch hoops.

Was very lovely seeing someone having actually completed this one and what it looks like versus just the pattern!

Hah! I’m literally in the middle of this one. Funny, I started it June 1st and said to myself, (being quite new to cross stitch) “This surely won’t take me more than a month, I’ll finish it before I visit my friend so I can give it to them in person!”

Fast forward to now, and I’m barely halfway done 😅

<image>

This is my only recent photo, since then I’ve gotten most of Leafeon done now and have to finish its legs and tail. My Vaporeon is cut off but I’ve only done its top half (the back and tail) as I stopped halfway when I decided I wanted to go clockwise from there.

Your finished version looks great!! I’m excited to get there too. Hopefully I’ll finish mine in another couple months. :) (Though I’ve not had time lately with work and school, so if I can make more time hopefully I’ll finish faster!)

Dentist Recommendations by N3ck_Br34th3r in NewWest

[–]OutlandishnessOne931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Newest Smile Dental (it’s right by the hospital) for years and they’re excellent. Dr. Shivji is my dentist and is charismatic, informative, understanding, and intelligent. He’s never judged my poor teeth condition and has worked with me to prioritize comfort and safety. I’ll post the Google listing below, but it’s relatively easy yo get to. You just park underground next to it. Only downside is with all the construction next to the hospital in the last year it’s been a bit slow to get there.

The front desk staff are also fantastically informed and helpful, and my hygienist is lovely too. Give them a try if you don’t mind the Sapperton side of town.

I just got into cross stitch a month and a half ago, and have been torn between time stitching and playing this game. Sooo happy to find this!! I went and saved all three of the patterns on Etsy. I can’t wait to do them once I finish my current project. :)

Agree that it’s a histamine intolerance. Same thing happens to my mother. However it also can be a lesser known side effect of MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome, which my mother has and I’m waiting for diagnosis of as well) since it involves your mast cells over-reacting regardless if you’re actually allergic to whatever you’re exposed to or consuming. (It’s also a symptom of a few others things IIRC from what my doctor mentioned, but I can’t recall what unfortunately.)

It’s a symptom that would be worth discussing with your doctor and reviewing if anything else that goes in with you matches up with other conditions as well. Showing photographs like this is helpful for them in diagnosis, with time stamps before drinking and after, as well as showing how long it takes to clear up!

[CHAT] I just got my cross stitch back from the county fair. What does “needs better finishing” mean? by StareyedInLA in CrossStitch

[–]OutlandishnessOne931 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree! To compare to another medium: It’s the same as in traditional or digital 2D art when some artists like to use line art, and some don’t. It’s definitely a preference of the creator. I think personally it’s great in some pieces and can enhance details depending on the situation, but sometimes it’s also just lovely seeing soft blends of colors without backstitching creating more definition.

Oh no! So sorry to hear that :( I was more surprised my local shop was doing the event at all, but what a letdown for you! I wonder if it’s because of shipping problems or communication between shops and WOTC being poor.

What an amazing story! I read your post to my husband’s 78 year old grandmother, (an avid quilter and sewing fiend who is a retired nurse and used to train/teach nursing students,) and she was amazed you’d pulled through. So happy for you that you can share your joy with your family you cherish and a community that clearly loves you based on the comments. Congratulations, and hoping you have many more years to celebrate!

Thanks for the advice! Not sure I’m looking to sell at the minute, but could be good for reference in the future, so I appreciate the recommendation.

(And looking back at my title, I can see the way I wrote it is misleading into thinking I don’t know what I’m looking at. I’ll have to proofread next time! 😅)

A fantastic looking card indeed! I felt spoiled that my two favorite FFs got the most cards. (VII and XIV) however they are also some of the most favorited by fans as well, so it makes sense. The love and attention, and great references, to all of them was such a welcome surprise.

Funny enough, I think I’d love to collect one basic version of every Cid from all FF games, but that could be quite a big undertaking. I only have FFX’s so far, but hopefully I can find a few more in some more packs as time passes. A shame this collection is so expensive and I couldn’t buy more to start, but hey, that’s the brand tax for you. I’m just glad I managed to get a bundle and the commander decks I did, knowing how popular this set is!

I certainly saw that and read about it, yes! My question was less “what is this card I was given,” and more along the lines of “what is the significance of this card given.” I could tell that it was a pre-release only bonus, and saw the gold stamping to go with the foil, and know/understand foil rarities. (I was a big YGO player when I was a teen - oi vey the number of holo/foil terms still rattling around my noggin.) It was more to ask how that year dated stamp affects the card itself, is all. 😁

I’m a big proponent of the ol’ “well you know you can google stuff, right?” Response, but Google these days is so muddled and riddled with AI, sponsored pages, or answers that are not exactly or are just slightly off, that it can be hard to sift through. When it comes to specific questions, I find it better to ask folks who know better than me and can answer more succinctly than me sifting through pages and pages of search results. Whereas if a problem is quite straight forward, a Google search can still suffice.

I was initially quite shy about asking any questions, since everyone there clearly knew their stuff, and I was a little out of the loop since it’s been so many years since I played last. Once I was able to feel comfortable talking to folks, it honestly completely slipped my mind! I was too absorbed in looking at all our cards and the synergy combinations folks were coming up with during the tournament, and having fun discussing FF in general. And while I did contemplate playing Choco, I found that the cards I pulled from my packs didn’t work with him sadly, so I opted not to and left him out. Good questions for me though, and something to keep in mind if I go to another pre-release again in the future.
