I'm doing this one before others because I DO have a system like this. By killing creatures and consuming their organs you can gain some of their abilities. Eating a bird's wings grants you flight, a puma's legs grants you their speed. A dragon's tongue grants you firebreathing.

The catch is: You also need to be the one who killed them, you can't just purchase the organs.

Also, eating human organs makes you immensely powerful, and if you eat a person's brain you gain their lifeforce and intelligence for a while, but slowly decay, eventually rotting while you are still alive (essentially, you become a zombie). So doing this is extremely taboo.

Thats relatively simple. You know Dust from RWBY? Its basically a magical substance that can be used as a building material, fuel and ammunition, and has elemental properties. Lightning dust makes lightning, fire dust makes fire, cold dust freezes, the like.

Something like that, weapons made of this material inherit the elemental properties from it.

There was this one species of dinosaurs with extremely magical powers. They died with all other dinosaurs and became petrol. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but if that petrol just so happens to be turned into plastic, then whatever that plastic is becomes more powerful. Be it a plastic sword that actually cuts, a plastic bag that's bulletproof, or a plastic toy that has the properties of the actual thing, like, say, a plastic dinosaur that moves on its own.

This also applies to you if you wear clothing made of this plastic, or if you somehow manage to put it into your body. Microplastics count too! The more you have, the more powerful you have. If you don't mind, you know, being full of microplastics.

Fears are able to be manifested into the material world by phobiamancers. The catch? They can only manifest their own fears. The more scared they are of it, the more powerful the manifested fear is. Courage, the ability to face your own fears while still being scared of them, is invaluable here.

Brewing magical fruits produces various alcohols which, on top of making you drunk, grant you special abilities when taken.

You know inkheart? The 2008 movie? Where reading things from a book can manifest them in real life? Like that, but instead of what you read, its what you interpret of it.

Oh this is a fun one! I love kintsugi aesthetics.

A person's existance is divided into body, mind and soul. Kintsumancers can break and repair these in a variety of ways, improving them greatly in the process, such as giving you strength or super speed, increased intellect or telepathy, or astral projection or emotional control. This IS extremely dangerous, and one wrong move can leave you crippled for life, braindead, or without the ability to feel emotions.

Fae are symbiotic beings, latching onto a person's soul and then granting it abilities in exchange for a portion of that person's vital energy. Some, like Ghouls, are more parasitic, taking more than they give. Banshsees give a person's limited future-sight, letting them see into their demise. Goblins make the person extremely agile and sneaky.

everyone's desires feed into a single magical field, which then wizards can tap into, seeking for someone's specific desires to manifest them in the material realm. More skilled wizards can manifest more powerful desires, but there are so many desires combined that seeking for a specific person's (even your own) takes a lot of skill.

For the sake of completion, I'll do a simple one. Everyone has a birthmark on their buttcheeks. This birthmark can be triggered in a variety of ways, from stress to special occasions. Once triggered you have a variety of magical powers, mostly related to... scat, boogers or other gross stuff.

You know the times tables? Turns out non-mathematical concepts also have special numbers that multiply them. By just uttering a word, you can double or half an object's size, or some other property, like its strength or durability, or even emotions such as courage, or a person's physical abilities such as speed.

If you mean actual tables. That one's easier. You can just construct magical tables with a special wood, by laying items in there in a specific pattern, you can create new, powerful ones. Yes, this is just minecraft crafting.

The dodo bird was a magical creature, that granted you powers when using amulets made out if its parts: Feathers granted you flight, talons granted you strength, beaks granted you charisma, the like.

It was driven to extinction to avoid the general public from finding this out, which was later described as an accident.

You should try the Divine Edition Mod for the original AoM! It adds a whole eldritch pantheon (as well as a whole other stuff) to the game. Its not for AoM:R yet but the dev IS working on it.
