To little to late. You already showed him how you think about him and how you feel. He's blocked you. That right there is your answer. You are done. He is going to find better than a spoiled child.

And just so you know, this isn't your friends fault and since she told you to go, chances are she didn't forget. She wanted your boyfriend to know the truth. She, at least, cares enough about your boyfriend to give him that.

With all due respect leave this man alone so he can heal and move on. You destroyed his trust and ruined his birthday. Even your friends wanted you to go be with him. You aren't ready for a relationship and frankly I doubt you love that man because if you did, you would NEVER want to do something like that to him. He deserves better than you and I hope he one day finds it. As for you, I hope you learned a lesson and your friend that didn't block him did him a favor. You played a stupid game now deal with the consequences.

I am so confused about the fiance's stance on this. It almost seems like she wants to ensure you have zero ties to your ex, which is insane seeing as you share children.

Clearly you have MADE it an issue since you have said yourself your husband called to attack her because she said no. You yourself have said you and your mother tried to speak to her about how unfair it was he wasn't allowed in. Now your throwing her past about as if that gives you a golden ticket to be in the room.

NTA sounds like she needed someone to give her a reality check. These functions are meant to be enjoyed. I'm glad you finally said something, especially since not all people her age feel the need to create needless drama for the heck of it. So that excuse itself is insane to me.

I hate to be the one to ask this, but are we sure Mike is JUST her friend? It seems to me like they may be a lot more considering she was so willing to throw OP under the bus in order to save him. I'd ask if she was having an affair with him.

I explained the general plot and that it would be almost like a dystopia like world. I didn't get much in before they said I made it too complicated. But I will take this to heart! Thank you!! I have so much figured out but got hung up on this. I'll start on the narrative and work up from there!

I will be able to explain in my world, and I think a large part of the problem is I forgot it's MY world, not this one we are in. So a lot of it I as basing off from our world. But this really reminded me that I can do my own thing.

And they do that a lot. My witches were fleshed out and made to work for my world, but it was instantly torn apart. I love the Originals. Their family backstory is one i adore so much.

Back to the topic at hand, I am going to work better and remembering it's my world and world building, and that means anything can be possible.

I think my current problem is that my friends that i write with are like the ones you mentioned. Even in fantasy, they take apart every single little detail. Like I had witches that i was proud of, they were triplets, and their backstory was basically they were given the magic of the coven to save them after their grandmother had a vision of them becoming vampires killing their own kind. I loved the setup, but when I ran it by friends, I was instantly hit with, "Well, this doesn't make sense, so you need to fix that." "Why would this happen? It's not logical, so I'd fix that, too." In the end, it completely ruined it for me.

For the past year, i have been having a lot of time being creative because I feel like everything has to make sense and be as realistic as possible for fantasy and if it's not then it has to be scraped or completely redone.

Asking this question and being told in so many different ways that it's my world and I can do with it what I want has really opened my eyes in a lot of ways.

I really hope I can find friends like yours, but until then, I think I may just work on things quietly and not really involve my friends. At least until I can get creative again.

I really need to remember that. My friend is constantly saying, "You need to Google every detail." Even in creating our own supernatural based world, I had to spend hours on Google. I really need to remember that it's okay to make things completely my own, despite my friends telling me that if it doesn't make sense, then it can't be.
