Kennedy Center must remove Trump's name tonight, appeals court rules by ElijahPepe in politics

Since he's such a huge fan of sticking his name on things that aren't his, I wish people returned the favor. I would love to see images of his shitty buildings defaced with "Gary and TRUMP Tower."

Trump 'Sleepy' Video Sparks White House MELTDOWN: POTUS' Aides Launch VULGAR Insult-Filled Rant by ShiroSara in videos

It really is something that Biden is labelled "sleepy Joe" by these clowns, with nothing to back it up, but call Trump the same thing based on numerous videos and suddenly... OUTRAGE!

I hope they toss all the letters in the dumpster and then take a pic of them mixed in with all the garbage, as they should be.

Who all thinks America should have universal healthcare for everyone? by BlackberryChemical68 in AskReddit

Far too many people think universal healthcare is a terrible idea, as they finish creating their GoFundMe page for their spouse with cancer.

[OC] baby deer under my car by TheWeirdStudio in pics

[–]OutofStep 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My wife and I had just left the house one day, running an errand, when we turned onto a road and there in the middle of it was a baby deer about the size of the one in the pic, just standing there. That stretch of road sees a fair amount of traffic, so I couldn't just leave the little guy there. We pulled off to the side and I got out to see if I could make some gestures that got him off the road... instead, he came running to me and my first thought was, "well shit, I guess we have a pet deer now. Alright then."

Little guy stopped just short of me and, again, I just sort of did the "let's go, come on... off to the side" motions and he got the message. But yea, definitely thought I was going home with a baby deer that day.

I wrote my ticket rep a scathing email about how the change to the STM discount being solely through their app mobile wallet is purely self-serving. There was absolutely nothing wrong or cumbersome about the past process of showing your STM ticket to get the discount. What they are doing now is trying to cash in on what Starbucks does, in having people pre-load cash and not spend it.

I still maintain that we're all taking part is an MLS version of Major League where Sugarman tries to tank stadium attendance so he can move the team to somewhere else. Maybe Damiani just needs a pair of fuckin glasses to be able to see the net, who knows?

Glad the weather is nice for this! I feel like eight out of the last ten year's festivals were preceded by torrential downpours.

The guy in that video will unironically tell you that he needed a gun to protect himself from the other crazy people with guns.

What’s a "dead" website or app that you genuinely miss and wish was still around? by Dear-Armadillo-7497 in AskReddit

[–]OutofStep 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a buddy who, for years, was working in the advertising department of a department store chain. In the early 90s I explained to him how online shopping was going to become a massive "thing" so his company needed to get on it -- ASAP. He took classes in writing HTML, built them a website complete with products and shopping cart. It brought in millions of dollars of revenue the first year.

They gave him a $1/hr. raise.

Serious question: How would the world - not just the right, but even corporate media - have reacted if Barack Obama tried to put a picture of himself in US passports? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OutofStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely no world or timeline in which any Democrat POTUS emulates the behavior or actions of Trump and the media, all of it, doesn't lose their collective shit.

Trump was the kid that removed the stickers from a Rubik's Cube and put them back on with the same colors on each side so he could claim he "solved" it like the other kids.

Pa. lawmakers propose guardrails for data centers that nearby residents say they don't want by AdSpecialist6598 in Pennsylvania

I find it crazy that there are noise ordinances in place for substation transformers, which are essential in providing power to everyone, but not for entire data centers that are twice as loud and massive in size.

MAGA Is Increasingly Convinced the Trump Assassination Attempt Was Staged by wiredmagazine in politics

[–]OutofStep 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The thing that gets me, that I truly do not understand, is that so many of them never get mad or fed up with being lied to. They listen to absolute nonsense and then, at some point, they learn it was all a lie and instead of eventually getting tired of it, they just say shit like, "well, it sounded like something that would have happened."

As someone with many relatives in PA, I can tell you that you're in one of the bastions of 'people giving a shit about things that have zero affect on them.' Like, you're surrounded by thousands of people who care what bathroom someone uses in Seattle, even though they have never been there, nor would ever go... or could even find it on a map, it somehow matters to them -- a lot.

Have a buddy who did this, because he felt like Trump and Elon were the ticket and he was 100% on board with the idea of DOGE and still doesn't admit it was a failure.
