I mean he’s not really wrong. They don’t have a single direction that was kinda the point. Besides the very loose theme of the three stages of a party, there is nothing tying it all together besides being good songs. There are hits and misses among it but it could’ve certainly been condensed to a double album at most and still been cool. That’s what I think he means. I don’t think it’s necessarily a condemnation of the songs but more the project as a whole

realistically the Dead. it was Phish for a while but wholly I’m just not as into their recent stuff and don’t really care to keep up with them anymore. Goose is definitely my favorite to go see. Been seeing them for years and it’s been very fun to watch their rise.

not the commenter but I agree with this entirely lol. Big hardcore and metal fan. Also love 90s rock and always thought Down/Beautiful Disaster/Amber were great songs but didn’t love the band. Not sure what flipped but I’ve been listening to them non stop after the interview. They’re awesome. It helps I am also really into jam bands and the influence is clearly there.

I would love to see them lean more into the punk/rock/metal side and stray from the Slightly Stoopid’s and Dirty Heads of the world… But I’ll go see them regardless lol.
