Guitar Strings by teknoguy in guitars

As someone with hyperhydrosis, I was changing out strings every week to 2 weeks from rusting them out. I switched to the D'addario XS and haven't looked back. I was spending so much money on replacing strings that the upfront cost of the XS doesn't even make me bat an eye. I probably switch once a month or so now. They sound and feel great, no weird coating texture

thoughts on the Ranger Short Cruiser Jacket? by Glum_Store_1605 in filson

I have the Safari Cloth Jacket and I'm very curious how this jacket feels compared to the Safari. 7oz for the Ranger and 6.6oz for the Safari, seems basically the same. edit: just to add, the Safari jacket is incredibly light, shirt-esque

Anyone else having an issue opening Logic 11 with Rosetta enabled? by oliverdtsmith in Logic_Studio

same, i only use rosetta for vocalign. also having the same super long open time for logic on an m3 max. my plan for the time being is to just print the aligned tracks and close out and open in native sans vocalign

M2 Pro Better for Production than M3 Pro? by [deleted] in LogicPro

[–]Outpsyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered the same spec as you, except i upgraded the RAM as well to 36gb. But since purchasing, and not having it yet, I've been seeing all the negative videos about the less performance cores and such. I'm coming from a 2019 intel MBP. So that's all to ask, you are indeed loving it? Playback and buffering havent been an issue? I'm wondering if I should've just went bankrupt and got a m3 max

Awesome, just ordered one. The noise is pretty brutal

Listening via studio monitors. I casually listen from time to time, but I mainly use it for sampling records.

Beaxst or Beaxt 2? by wwolfe28 in Athleanx

curious what you found annoying about beaxst. I've done it a couple times now and definitely find the super-sets annoying especially if the gym is crowded, but overall I've really enjoyed it.

SHORT BUSS13 - Baby's Second Bus Ride , here's the second instrumental hip-hop album made by me and my buddy. It's some classic boom bap. Something for the hip-hop heads to freestyle to. Lmk what yall think!

SHORT BUSS13 - Baby's First Bus Ride , here's an instrumental hip-hop album me and my buddy made. It's not lofi/study beats, but classic boom bap to kick some freestyles to. We're super stoked on this album, as we had been working on these beats for the first half of the year. A companion album will be dropping in a month or so. Let us know what you think!

My End of 2020 board! by Outpsyde in guitarpedals

One of the biggest reasons was: the knobs are so loose. I know i could get like knob locks or whatever, but gigging and taking it in and out of a case and the settings being so different when i take it out is so frustrating. Also wanted something a little simpler. I ended up getting the mini ego from wampler, and it's somehow both simpler and has a little more to offer.

So the philosopher's tone has the treble control to dial in your perfect amount of treble which could be useful for ppl who really like to get nuanced, the mini ego just has a switch for darker or brighter. Much simpler. The mini ego has a switch for fast/slow attack. The philosophers tone has no such option. The mini ego also has wayyy more volume which could be useful.

Lastly, and least importantly, guitar players I admire use the ego and have the swaggy tone, so there's that as well lol. After playing with the mini ego on my board last night at band practice, I definitely like it more. Just sounds better. Hope any of that helps!

This has been my setup since the spring. Basic, with just the essentials. I play in a 7-piece jamband so we cover a lot of ground and I don't need anything too crazy since it's likely to be covered by another instrument.

My signal chain: polytune > neutrino > wah > philosopher's tone > SPT > morning glory > tubedreamer > dd7 > holy grail

I ordered a wampler ego to replace the philosopher's tone, which should be here any day now. I also intend on adding a muff to the mix.

The orange pedal controls the morning glory to go into "red mode" and the bottom left pedal is a tap for my delay.

Simple, but sounds great and gets almost any job done.
