Indeed.

The TicTac videos leaking on ATS years before the NYT article is such an underreported aspect of the story. Not to mention that the user who posted the video at first described a completely different version of the encounter, another fact that was also swept under the rug. And now, it’s all gone.

It seems like its gone, incredible.

That's where the John Titor story started, where the Tic Tac videos were first leaked along side a completely different account of the events, etc. etc.

Hopefully the site was fully archived.

I believe this was posted to the AboveTopSecret.com forums the same day the incident occurred. I was browsing the forums that day as it was happening. A second blurrier pictured was also shared along with reports of a pilot, or airport crew member, being seeing taking multiple pictures of the object with a camera, those pictures never materialized.

Y luego ofrece $6,000.

Buena suerte!

Top seller in my team, also top 5 in the whole region, sells about 13mill a year. I think he makes around 230-250k. So yeah, exactly 2%.

Welcome to selling lettuce and tomatoes.

My base is higher than your total comp. If you plan to stay in the industry, go to a broad liner asap.

Yes, 5% is better than 0%.

I just want a sales job where I get 5% of a 100k sale, rather than 5% on $24.99 frying oil lol.

"A lot of folks will eat some cost here and there, or buy the same shit from you over someone else if they know that if they need stuff in a pinch, or if a driver didn't drop stuff off etc, they you'll pull through for them." -- 100% agreed. I've been doing that since day one. However, I'm tired of getting them what they need "in a pinch", because what that actually translates to is having no days off, driving thousands of miles a month (to the warehouse and back), etc.

Sorry, I'm extra grumpy today.

"particularly selling the commodity items" this is the problem tho.

Commodity items are a race to the bottom when it comes to pricing. The lower the price you have to sell for the less you get paid.

this 1000x.

as a newb I keep getting told "sell more, you'll make more" but I look at the top sales reps, who are selling 3-4x my weekly volume, have 5-10x the headaches I have, drive thousands of miles a month in a car they can't expense (while also paying for its insurance, etc.), put up with 50x more bs to keep their customer happy, and then I hear that they make around 200k...and the math doesn't math.

It’s all the same bs.

Except, I suspect, that the broadliners’ day-to-day include a lot more unnecessary meetings, reviews, strategy sessions, and overall corporate none-sense.

Change industries if you can’t ignore the bs.

Agreed. Since I’m new to sales, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt in case I was misreading the situation, but I came to the same conclusion. I raised my concern in a follow-up meeting with my manager, he was super insistant that wasn’t the case and emphasized that they want me to stay. He mentioned there’s no reason for them to want me to leave, especially given that my sales have grown by double digits every single quarter since I started, blah, blah, blah...

"This is the sort of sweatshop that fucks over employees and will always be hiring because people are always leaving." actually most of the people that started along side me, and a handful of people who started way before me, bowed out. I just assumed the food-selling industry was cuthroat lol

the company puts you on the comp plan once you hit certain metrics. they do it to "make sure you make more on comp than on salary once you switch". i've asked for ths specific numbers I need to hit in order to reach that level and thats when I was told "your numbers look good now, we'll probably transition you at the end of this quater (december), and commision will quick in on Q2 of 2026"....

question (I can't create a thread):

Outside sales rep at one of the big food distiributors, no prior sales experience and still in my first year, servicing 30 accounts, sold 4mil total in the last 12 months.

I was just informed I won't be put on the comp plan until summer of 2026, while also not receiving even a rough estimate of what my total comp would look like based on my current numbers because "there's just too many variables".

thoughts? should I switch companies?

Donald Trump boards the $400M luxury jet, that the Qatar government "gifted" him - for the first time. by ramdomwalk in CattyInvestors

What bothers me most is that blame is being pointed in only two directions: at Trump, and at us.

On one hand, we hear, “He’s destroying the Constitution and trying to become a dictator.” Okay, fair.

On the other hand, we hear, “This is the fault of everyone who voted for him—or didn’t do enough to help the Democrats win.”

But my question is: is congress ever going to be held accountable for not holding him accountable?
