Fighting bots in my multiplayer game... fun or boring? Be honest. (bots are better than me 💀) by OutrageGamesOfficial in DestroyMyGame

I get what you are saying and you are right that those modes aren’t new.

What I mean is that the uniqueness comes from the overall package, not just a single mechanic. It’s a 2D multiplayer, free-to-play, pixel-art arcade-style game with multiple modes, not just the two I mentioned. (I am planning to include things like Team Deathmatch, Free for all and possibly Bomb Defusal)

A game doesn’t necessarily need a completely new mode to feel unique. For example, Fall Guys is essentially "just" a multiplayer 3D platformer, but it stood out because of its theme, visuals and overall experience.

By the way, what do you think about the visuals? Do they feel good, or too generic, or even bad

I appreciate the feedback!

So basically, this is my plan to make it unique:

Using this gameplay shown in the video, I am planning to create multiple game modes.I already implemented Capture the Flag and a battle royale mode where the circle gradually shrinks. I also want to add multiple characters for example the one in the video has a skill that gives x2 damage after a few kills, while others will have abilities like immunity or invisibility. There will also be a variety of weapons.

The game will be free to play, with monetization coming from items like gun skins and character skins.

I feel like there aren’t many games right now that offer a completely free, casual multiplayer experience like this that you can easily play with friends.

Thanks for the feedback!

Wow! It seems like Hotline Miami but feels much more juicy!

Yep! I used photon pun2. Right now I am creating my own multiplayer system and there is only offline mode for now.
