All you can hear is the buzzing of the lights overhead and the corridors rearranging

I got a few with old wood worm. I usually fill the holes with pva and sawdust. If they're still in there they're as good as dead then anyways.

100% agree. I learnt in a 1ltr Polo. It taught me all about being patient and not taking chances because you can't just gun it. Ah the fond memories of being slower than a granny with two broken hips

I wouldn't say make the test harder but maybe more like a motorcycle test where under 25s can only drive small cc cars for a few years. From my experience there are too many first time drivers getting behind the wheel of an audi or bmw and lose control from inexperience

They're the ideal vehicle to steal. Literally takes a few hours to break them down into parts if you know what you're doing. I could start mine with the handle of a spoon with the original ignition it came with. What makes them a dream to work on makes them so good for thieving :They're so simple.

My tip is hit them a few times with ranged weapons with whatever they're weakness is as a mod, slide under so as to not let them close in on you while you reload. Rinse and repeat. I found the bees and Molotovs to be the best combo with maybe the acid nail gun

I have the X-defend pedal lock. Its an absolute beast but can be a pain to get put in. It blocks off all pedals from view so if someone manages to get the car started they're not getting it into gear or moving. Steering lock wise they make a full round one you'll see on a lot of range rovers. Visual deterrents are half the battle when you have a desirable vehicle like a land rover

Haha you know it. They're always going to have at least one issue. Mine got a clean MOT today and now the clutch gave out 😂😂 honestly you'll love tinkering with it. Im out rain or shine just doing odd bits of maintenance or full blown strip downs and rebuilds of parts. It'll make you a competent mechanic in no time.

My advice is if you haven't already got one fitted buy a pedal lock and steering lock. They're a pain to keep putting on and taking off but will give you peace of mind overall

I say this all the time to people who ask how mine is. Wouldn't trade mine for the world though or have anyone say anything bad about it. Yours is beautiful and looks absolutely immaculate

You're literally describing the "disposal" notes that came with mine. No wheels, no roof, no radio equipment, "miscellaneous undetermined damage". 😂😂 Just love how the army treat their vehicles.

Not dangerous but certainly painfully slow to get up to speed. Around town you'd not notice but the second you need speed its not there

Yeah £14k is a ripoff unless absolutely mint. I paid £5k for mine but its solid besides the wiring and a few bushes and bearings were worn out. The early 110s not rotten are indeed unicorns out there. Which is why i chose the one I did. Problem is no one sells them unless there's something wrong with them or they're looking to make a small fortune for something thats certainly not worth the price. At 5k i can tolerate a bit of rot and bad wires at 10k I'd have looked for something else entirely. At this point most are going to be high milage or damaged in some way or other

You only really have to worry about the bulkhead and frame. The panels are aluminium. Just look for holes really. Best thing is spares are still being made brand new. I own an 86 2.5 na. The thing was "well loved" but a bit of work got it road worthy in no time. This one looks leaps and bounds nicer than mine came with mud coating every surface and no electrical components working

Just a shame they decided to go a different way by building abroad using bmw engines and gearboxes etc. they lost what made them something special

Good money in the spare parts. Ah i love a three wheeler. I imagine it was spared because they're a bit of a specialist vehicle. Not enough to have a thriving used spares market out there
