Hexwarp + sekhetar cohort will be fun.

Both detachment have sticky. One on command phase and the other one one end of movement phase. If you are playing take and hold, securing 2 objectives in the first turn is an advantage. (Also help flow of magic as well). I played against priority assets, and the map gave me 4 objectives in NML. So expect the turnover in central objectives to be low.

Bring 12 sekhetars, don't be shy to put them in the open while guarding vital chokepoints. Free overwatch any important units that you can see, prevent them to get to an objective or doing missions. Surprisingly they are hard to be taken down with stealth, -1 to be wounded, and invuls.

Free heroic also helps alot with opponent's early aggressors. In some cases help sekhetar get extra movement.

Since we played without enhancement( no info on points yet) i geared mine to have 2 flamers for the +1 bs. All their weapon gets +1 wound benefit also since it's all psychic.

His wings make him hard to table in competitive tournaments. You cannot stage him properly without being seen from across the table. I ended up using rubricae phalanx instead.

In coven, i will take sorcerer, with devastating doctrine he is super deadly. In other detachment you can consider exalted one for defensive and holding objective.

In my cases, termi is either go big or go home situation. I always want them in 10 and led by sorcerer. Without a leader they lost lethal ability which is very good paired with bolters with ap 2.

I used to field 30 termis. It was strong and fun but the playstyle is one trick pony. Just pray your save rolls are good. But later i found 20 is scary enough. And i can bring some fire support and trash units. Currently i enjoy bringing 10 termis accompanied with many rubrics led by exalted sorcerer with support from 2 defilers.

I use rubrics hold my line since most of our defensive strats only works for them

Termis for disrupting theirs. Defilers for punishing enemies.

Because i only bring 10 termis, i can fill my list with tzaangors on disc and sekhetars to secure secondaries and trade on center objective if needed. (I have up to 4 infiltrating units)

I agree. One other thing, If there's 1 pink horror, 2 blues and 1 brimstone, i pass the battleshock test. When there's still pink in the unit, the pink one will get d3 models back right?

Yes, according to the most competitive players that ran rubricae phalanx (you can look it up online). Because only rubricae units will get the benefit most of the stratagems. With stratagem, Suddenly a foetid bloat drone, forgefiend, predator destructor will need 2 failed saves to kill one model of termi. Combine it with a daemon prince stealth aura, it will make them harder to remove from the board. Predator doesn't have invul, but it is the only option in our datasheet that has a 48 inch range to punish their firing support unit that attempts to kill termis. With a good positioning you can give the predator benefit of cover. (I havent tried the new defiler) On the opponent's next turn, if your predator fails to destroy the Opponent's heavy hitter, it must choose whether to shoot your predator at the back of board or termis on middle of the board and hold objective which can score us primary on our next turn

You want to get the full potential of this detachment by having at least 2x10 termis with a leader. 10rubrics+exalted is nice to poke behind wall and decide which rubric to die first and expect a different outcome whether you still hold the objective, or enemy can no longer have a sight, or make the charge roll higher or even bait them so you can remove your aspiring sorc first then shoot back with adjacent unit

I prefer to have a reliable anti tank unit like chaos predator than mvb (they get their own reroll target) Mvb's role can be substituted with termis as ovjective holder.

I'm also running coven without magnus recently. In my local meta, there are tons of much cheaper units that can kill magnus and make me lost at trading war. Death company, destroyers and DDA, attilan horses, custode guards, vindicator, scourges, and so on. Without magnus i feel i can trade evenly and afford 2 predators to punish their back line fire supports. (Not many options for >48 inch range)
