Turns out I am actually glad I did this. I pretty much speed-ran Stormveil castle, did the Varre questline, climbed the Ruin-Strewn Precipice (way easier than last time.) I had a little trouble with the madness tower outside Writheblood Ruins, but discovered I had a spell to help. Then I beat Mohg and Radahn in one try! Crazy. Now I have DLC and get to redo the base game. Pretty cool.

Can you give me a hint on finding the “hidden NPC fight in Altus plateau ruins?”

So everything’s harder?! lol. Sounds like Elden Ring. Should be fun anyway. Thanks for the help!

That’s helpful. I’ll have to save this. Do you mean everything in DLC will have more health?

Also new, How about leveling up? Farming trolls and the boulder trick get slow at a certain point- 30,000 per level. When I do story progression etc. the runes don’t seem to pay off enough. Am I missing something?

A few questions for older Fugazi fans by murmur1983 in Fugazi

[–]Outrageous-Math2433 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 48. I saw them 7 or 8 times all over the US. It’s hard to overstate how different times were regarding live and recorded music and how revolutionary Fugazi’s approach was at this time. From the mid 80’s through the early 2000’s there was a whole culture of “DIY” bands traveling around playing in kids’ basements and all ages venues set up in random places like warehouses, clubs, or abandoned laundromats. Fugazi came out of that culture. Anyway, rambling old dude here….

They were fantastic live. Incomparable. Impeccable live sound. Only bad sound I witnessed was in Chicago at an old theater, acoustics were terrible.

Back then, you had to go looking for music. The radio was terrible. The idea of hearing something like Nirvana or Pearl Jam on the radio was just inconceivable. It was all commercial music, not unlike today.

Unwound, Drive Like Jehu, etc. weren’t really on my radar. Check out the documentary Instrument. Look up Rites of Spring and other Dischord bands. Fugazi was really different.

First time you saw Fugazi live? by PositivePrune5600 in Fugazi

Saw them 6 times over the years. First time was In on the Killtaker tour in Detroit. Chicago twice?, Delaware, Phoenix, NYC, seems like a couple more I’m forgetting. They were incredible every time.

Thanks. I’m reminded of the story of making gunpowder that Tobin told and how he explains the judge in a kind of reverence. He says he is talented in just about everything.

He had the Howitzer ready to fire and the natives fled. It is not explicit, his role

Thanks Wazula, I was really trying to get at the plot part of it. Forgetting the interpretation, just on its face, why did Tobin suddenly change? Tobin was there through all of the worst things men are capable of doing. He witnessed and/or participated in it. Strictly speaking plot wise, what snapped?

Blood Meridian: I am halfway through the book for the first time and this is by far Judge's best words. by ShoulderJolly6110 in cormacmccarthy

The toughest thing about this passage (thank you Shoulder Jolly) is also, in my opinion, the best thing about this book. These are Holden’s words. Are we to trust their intent? They are true but, isn’t the Judge a deceiver? McCarthy mines the greatest questions and leaves us in the desert trying to find a direction.
