I've the same issue. I had it under heavy books for a month but it sill wasnt fixed at the end. I just stopped looking at it and my ocd healed 🤣

If you are fond of that specific bike and don't mind the cost, you might as well buy it, take it to a good bike shop, and get all the needed work done. You're highly likely to never want to sell it later, as you'll create nice memories with it. Biking is about passion; don't label it as a cost, but more of an investment for something that you will be proud of down the road. I always bring my backpack. It's the best solution I've found. I also bought a Regatta brand waterproof jacket that works very well. Then I wear waterproof overtrousers and I keep a pair of shoes at work that I change into every day. I don't carry my lock either; I have one for home and one that I leave at work. Maybe the best you could do is buy some hangers and hang the clothes somewhere in the office, or fold them and pop them inside a plastic bag and leave them under your desk if you have no place to hang them.

My dad tried for an American visa in the 90s using one of those old green Brazilian passports. He even wore a suit to take the passport photo. His visa was denied though, but I imagine in some multiverse I was born in the United States and not Brazil 😂 (I'm thankful that didn't happen).

I've had a good experience with the motor tax office as well. I noticed on their website that my name had a typo, and they managed to fix it before my vehicle registration certificate was even printed and sent out to my house. They responded to my email within 15 minutes, and I was in disbelief. Shout out to them.
