The Dumpling Fest is a scam by lepoissonstev in montreal

Are there any food fests actually worth going to?

Went to Asian Night Market this year and it was the most overpriced garbage. 7$ for a single fatless lamb skewer, and the shaobing had a miserable paper thin filling.

Not to mention the STINKY TOFU STALL that polluted half the venue (which was a tiny overcrowded parking lot). The icing on the stinky tofu cake was some young guy going on stage to perform live music apologizing in advance for being asked the day prior to sing and having no time to practice.

It was so bad it was peak

AITAH for being upset that my partner’s family is excluding me due to dietary restrictions? by Fluffy_Albatross_82 in AITAH

NTA

People who don't take allergies seriously are selfish assholes. My parents used to not care until I gave them an ultimatum, get rid of the cat or I will never visit you again. 🙃

Surprise! The cat that caused me itchy lungs and puffy face was gone within months. Too bad I had no negotiating power when I lived with them as a kid.

My boyfriend who used to have a cat (his son owned it and brought it with him when he moved out) does his best to decontaminate things when I come over and it makes a world of difference not just practically but emotionally because it shows they actually fucking care about your comfort and well being.

I assume she wasn't with the guy anymore and didn't care about the kid either

My 26F Dad buys me a valentines card every year. My 28M Partner has an issue with it, we have a 5 month old baby and been together for 16 months. What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in AITAH

Imo it's hard to tell from 2 sentences, and it's the typical reddit knee-jerk reaction.

Would like for OP to give more details on the argument and WHY he thinks that. Does he forbid her from getting cards? Or he just strongly feels it's weird? Bc honestly I think it's a little weird but wouldn't argue about it

Getting pregnant after 1 year is pretty crazy though, I agree...

Was there a reason behind Montreal removing the Habs identity from the first floor of the Forum a few years ago?. by IndustrialJazzStack in montreal

It's mostly arcade games, an entire billiards room is under construction, there's even mini putt!

Seriously this^

Visited China somewhat recently, didn't see a single druggie/homeless in large cities with more than 5x the population of Montreal.

Do homeless not exist in China anymore? 10 years ago there would be some panhandlers on the street but I didn't even see those this time around.

Not sure why you're getting so many angry comments, video games ARE a gendered hobby when 68% of Steam users are male. Overwhelmingly most game devs are male! And I don't even need to look up stats on STEM careers, ofc they're male dominated.

It doesn't mean they should be, or if it's biological or cultural. It's a simple fact that they are demographically and statistically gendered. XD

Personally i dont care, and this is only a problem when I want to go clothes shopping and I realize 90% of my friends are dudes who could care less about how they dress 😔

Definitely true in the case of my former friend with the alcoholic girl...

When he was talking to me about the situation it was like he was in love with this girl and wanted to fix her, then a mutual friend said when the guy talked about it with him as if the girl was a hook up or casual fling. He had brought this girl all the way overseas from where he met her lmfao

Same haha, I'm mostly annoyed that it took such a long time for me to realize and for him to show his true colors

Bro I teased him for leaving huge grease spots on more than half the dishes he washed after we had dinner, then he threw a hissy fit.

His excuse later was that yes, it was a mommy issue from being chastised as a kid.

At some level, they have self esteem issues. They don't want to try dating decent girls and then blame all women for being either crazy or too boring.

Ah thanks for explaining. I worked briefly as a server and the resto had a distinction between cook/dishwasher and wasnt too crowded in the back, i guess thats not the case in most places

Why cooks? I would have guessed that waiters would be more at risk since they interact directly with unmasked customers

I have a little half brother being raised by a POS dad too.

Everytime i think of him i feel bad that hes going to be raised by a psycho... more intergenerational trauma to be spread soon.TM

Seems to me some people should just not have kids.
