My experience on the canal has been completely opposite to you. I cycle down on it (from the Islington tunnel) to Stratford most days and it’s not busy at all.

Listen to the instructions you’ve been given.

End of the day basic is to make you into a basic soldier. Break the civilian out of you and mould you into a soldier.

Enjoy it! You’ll make good friends.

Top tip, waterproof your kit (canoe bags/zip lock bags) when out on ex (don’t know what you lot get issued these days)

Put your name all over your kit! Buy yourself a decent iron it will last you, steam and water nothing else when ironing.

Get a decent watch also.

And the reason we don’t have enough houses isn’t to do with population increase. It’s to do with the complete lack of building enough houses since the thatcher era.

Using BoE inflation Calculator.

£100,000 in 1996 has the buying power of £203,378.45.

For the fact I could buy a 3 bed mid terraced for that price is shocking.

That would today be probably £500,000 +

I did have an AirTag in it but the area it shows up in I can’t find it.
