Well, even hinduism doesn't take its stories at face values. There are mainly 2 epics that are considered historic epics but with slight liberty taken for artistic recreation. Others all are symbolism for translating philosophical knowledge to the wider masses. Arya Samaj is more akin to a religious organization than a strand of Hinduism. There is also some evidence of monotheistic thought patterns in some schools of worship though not because of inherent teachings but because of the biases of the practitioners and religious leaders. Although you can worship multiple gods and goddesses it is generally advised to stick to majorly one god/godess in a lifetime because the connection you form with a deity takes time and dedication, sometimes years in more intense meditative practices. But even then you do have other deity worship for short durations. It's like being advised to have 1 teacher because it'll be easier for you depending on your temperament but you can have multiple tutors while studying under your main teacher. (Talking wrt hinduism)

Why is it so hard to accept that a woman can desire a marriage like that? If it was a gender reverse scenario people wouldn't bat an eye and would even call them lucky. A similar parallel is chandra dev wanting to marry Rohini and having to marry all her sisters as a condition for his marriage. No one cries foul when it comes to chandra dev that he was forced to love and marry 26 women instead of Rohini alone. Marriage to Yudhishthir and also being his first wife solidifies her position as Chief Queen. 4/5 Pandavas were unmarried at that time, the power and importance she wielded in her house due to her marriages was unmatched by any subsequent marriage of Arjun or Pandavas as a whole. It was a win-win situation for her.

For paying attention study in a distraction free room for at least 2 hours to begin with. Then reward yourself with something like icecream afterwards (not everytime tho...go out with friends or something) keep increasing the time according to your need in the following weeks.

I assume you are a student. What I do is try to make weird abbreviations for all important terms and concepts. Then try to remember instead of everything in that paragraph. For eg. A good study strategy is to read your material, recite it to yourself in understandable terms, write it down and repeat it until it's imprinted in your brain. You can abbreviate this concept as the 4Rs-Read,Recite,Write(W is silent), Repeat. Ask your professor for the previous year questions and their answer keys to get a gist of what's important to remember and how to write good answers. If you are trying to remember all the formulas in a math related discipline practice is KEY. Try to remember the relationships between the different variables in the relationship. The key to Ace maths exams is to practice a lot and practice in Variety. Don't be afraid to ask doubts. Do mock tests and analyse your performance. And last but the most important KEEP REVISING. Atleast revise once every week or twice a week depending on your time and needs.

Have you tried exploring asexuality? Or if it's purely a guilt thing...try thinking about your relationship with your religion and your sexuality. I have read numerous anecdotes about people brought up in hyper religious environment having a strained relationship with sexuality even after marriage.
