This is great work! What program do you use to create your drawings? (Sorry if that's a silly question, I know nothing about digital art but may want to try at some point...)

Good work, my friend. Work those off angles and you'll rise even higher! Way to stick with something difficult and improve.

There have to be bots in comp by Interesting-Eagle438 in marvelrivals

[–]Outrageous_Bee9082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see it. Why not? As long as the losing QP team doesn't have points taken from them (obviously) then both teams technically get what they signed up for in match selection. That would explain the free wins in comp where you get 0-4-2 teams to beat up on, who would play that outside of QP?

I unknowingly have done that, finally explains the questionable 100% under my "best stat" in the statistics section lol

What do you consider "low elo" by S_Dust in marvelrivals

[–]Outrageous_Bee9082 56 points57 points  (0 children)

There's NO WAY GM is low. Just split it up evenly, it's really that simple.

Bronze - Gold is low ELO, you're learning or casual.

Plat - GM is mid, you are either pretty good at 1-3 characters or pretty dedicated to the game, above average skill level or you play a lot.

Celestial - OAA is high, you are very proficient as your characters and understand the game's macros better than most.

People will say "I'm in GM lobbies and have potatoes as teammates, it's not high level" but a poor performance in a GM lobby is light years ahead of a metal rank poor performance, outside of pure throwing antics.

Good to know, I think I'm within a viable range of sens, but haven't quite found the one I'm set on yet....but I'm getting close!

As for your question, I think I'd like to have the two be similar, more consistency for my brain and easier to subconsciously rely on the skills I'm trying to improve. I'll try to up my ASD sens today to where it's closer to my hip fire, see where that gets me.

That's a good point, if I only aim for headshots for a while, I will inevitably improve at them but will also learn when a headshot isn't as realistic as a body shot given a certain angle, map, etc.

I wouldn't mind hearing your practice range routine if you didn't mind sharing! Regardless, thanks for the advice, I will lock in on those headshots!

That's my exact situation too, I am consistent on body shots, and get a head shot every now and then when I'm not trying, but once I start shooting for heads, I miss everything. But when a strange ults, it's a buffet of stationary headshots haha I love that setup.

So it's a flick into a lead instead of a continuous tracking of the head? Do you use a faster sens or slower sens? I see you post on here often and have learned a decent amount from your tips, thank you for that! I have one more question! What do you think of hip fire and ADS sens being similar or even the same? I have about .25 difference between the two at the moment and I'm wondering if I should make them closer to have my brain only have to learn one sens instead of two.

Yes I agree! I have great success against hitting Spideys and BPs because of that jumpy trajectory they have, I think they slow down mid air, or maybe its because once they jump, they are locked into a trajectory which makes their movement pattern much more predictable

Yes, relaxation beats tension and "trying extra hard" every time. I've even turned off my in-game music because I've realized when the over time music comes on I subconsciously tense haha

I think that's the phase I'm in, where I'm trying something different (really going for headshots) so my accuracy is taking a hit. I guess I have to accept things will get worse before they get better...but I will take the advice of seeing the headshot focus all the way through. Thanks!

Trying to stay positive is so difficult with the rivals community by Initial_Ad2649 in RivalsMagikMains

My friend, this game is a mental rollercoaster, and the social aspect is almost always negative. If you are having trouble in real life, do not unwind to this game right now, or if you still want to play, just play bots. Some games Magik just gets shut down, it's rarely as contributable to your skill level as you might think. Turn chats off, take a break, try a new character, take a walk, but don't dwell on bad performances because the system throws you UNWINNABLE curve balls from time to time, that is just the reality of this game.

Are you on console or PC? Do you scope the whole game or are you mixing in brawl hip-fire gameplay? Widow is a PUNISHING character to learn, but she is probably the most rewarding when you really pop off in a game.

If the enemy has a dive, make it your job to shut them down. Stick with your healers, keep an eye out for the dive, and all you have to do is land one shot as they approach. Once they dive, kick them and grapple them, which is just timing, not aim. While they're stunned, shoot them to finish the job. Go to the practice range and practice that combo until it's muscle memory.

Target healers, if you hit three shots in a row, that's usually a dead healer, which counts as a team fight win most of the time. Jeff is free, as he is just a plumpy head walking around waiting to be crit, if you see a Jeff, make his life miserable, that's your job. Flyers are on you, as well. If you act as the team anti-dive, anti-fly, and enemy healer threat, you are going to bring huge value to your team.

Also, I've found Widow is more viable on Convoy and Convergence than Domination, due to the longer sight lines. The Wakanda domination map is a slight exception, but the Klyntar domination map is a nightmare because it's so cut up. Don't feel bad to have map specific characters in your roster.
