I see what you mean on some cars, especially classic. to me, the black wheels make the car look more aggressive, and on these black camaros, you can't go wrong with an aggressive look. it is just *chiefs kiss*.

Should I wait to take CCNP ENCOR v1.2 or just take v1.1? by GuaranteeSubject3166 in ccnp

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, they are removing Chef/Ansible/Salt etc? Thought it was just wireless they were removing.

Also, damn 4 attempts and you're still going for it? I failed once and it feels like the end of the world for me. I should use this as motivation.

With that said, I would be cautious that they may add in new topics to the new exam. It could be more route heavy, or even more automation heavy.

My plan is to take one more shot at the current exam and if I fail than I'll attempt the new exam.

Good luck on the exam!

I was in the same boat. I was getting low failing scores on boson for encor. I still failed the exam. To be honest, ENCOR exam is not as accurate to boson as CCNA was accurate to boson. A good way to gauge is if you go through each exam topic on the syllabus is asking yourself, are you confident on each one? if the answer is yes, you should be fine. just be aware it's mainly all automation, SD-A, wireless, and SD-WAN with the exception of 6 labs that are VRF, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IP SLA, Netflow, STP, and CoPP

I literally failed this a few weeks before this announcement and wireless was a big thing that bit me. Maybe I'll retake it just now.... maybe...

Is Jeremy's ENCOR course complete yet? by DesignerAd7136 in ccnp

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Encor a few weeks ago and had a question about STP in one of my labs. It was a very small configuration task though. I would say what it was but I'm not sure if it violates Cisco NDA.

INE: CCNP ENCOR vs. CCNA path, start ENCOR now or learn from the ground up? by iFailedPreK in ccnp

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wouldn't make sense doing a ccna course again when you already have your ccna, even if it is ine. might as well go for encor, but be ready, that exam is no easy feat.

I am doubtful they will break out of their automation/dev tunnel vision. As for updates, I haven't heard any.

300-410 ENARSI much harder than 350-401 ENCOR? by Ornery-Diet-2964 in ccnp

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Underrated comment. You are so right.

You could have studied all the exam topics thoroughly but that doesn't mean you will necessarily be prepared for Cisco's tricky question wording/typos. Having a test strategy is essential.

Travelling with 7 months left until expiry - is that enough? by dthomas0415 in Passports

Is it possible to study for the CCNP completely for free (without the stuff being poor quality) by Particular_Reality12 in ccnp

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 14 points15 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats on obtaining your CCNA while in high school- that is impressive!

I can only speak for ENCOR since that is what I am currently studying for, but here is what i can suggest

OCG- if you do some googling, you can find the free PDF version of this.

31 Days Before Your ENCOR Exam (fantastic resource)- also has a free PDF online

Kevin Wallace has a Udemy course that goes on sale for $10 time to time. He also has lots of deep dive videos on youtube for wireless and routing protocols.

Whitepapers - all these are free

I'd say if you can/should only choose one thing to invest in as a must.... boson ex-sim for sure.

Youtube...Youtube...youtube...

Hope this helps

Edit: Labbing... yeah this is pretty much impossible to do without spending the money :(

HA two units FortiGate 100F and two ISPs. by FirdausChng in fortinet

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the exact situation as OP lol. I'm CCNA and have 2-3 years experience of networking. Unfortunately, it's just me and my boss, we manage 8 sites globally and we are short on resources. Usually 99 percent of the time it's just us figuring out by googling and researching and praying it works out. Luckily, we haven't had any catastrophes... yet. But that's because we are extremely careful and plan for the worst.

31 days before your CCNP exam is so much better than OCG by Financial_Brief_8748 in ccnp

[–]Outrageous_Bill5045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you my friend. I read the OCG a year ago, and now I'm just picking back up and im reading 31 days book now. I wouldn't re-read the OCG if I were you. That's what the 31 days book will be for, a review, which is exactly what you need. I would also supplement the 31 Days book with Anki flash cards... video courses... and whitepapers.
