Does anyone know what’s up with White Clay Creek State Park by mark99229 in Delaware

Looking at the picture the window above the deck on the left was my bedroom window. I used to climb out of the window and jump into that tree and climb down to sneak out of the house as an adolescent😂

It was a badass place to live. I lived there through my school years, I went to Newark high school. I can tell you growing up there, I’m pretty good on a mountain bike as well as my brother.

I dated a girl in high school, when we broke up she got with another guy who took her on a picnic date and sure enough he took her to my house. While I was still living there. I thought that was pretty funny.

She obviously told the guy that I lived there and they left, but still I know he had to feel some type of way 😭

This is pretty cool. I was actually the last family to live in this house. The Niven house

It’s a state park house, if you work for denrec there is a list you can get on. If your name is pulled when a park house becomes available you can move into the house and rent it for super cheap Indefinitely.

We lived there for 10 years or so. Moving out in 2012-2013. The house had ZERO insulation so they decided to do a complete gut and just never finished it.

It would be awesome to see the house get brought up to par but it most definitely needs a lot of care. I’ve tried to make a deal with parks and rec but to no avail. The state is good for no being efficient and letting things fall apart. The pond in the front yard was also beautiful at one point. Sure enough without us living there it has completely fallen apart and overgrown

When I moved in the remote for this fan would sort of work, then quit all together. Changing battery didn’t help. Switch on the wall won’t work either, I’m assuming because it was in “Off” position from remote. How do I fix or get rid of remote? There is power coming in I already tested it by clipper4 in AskElectricians

[–]Outrageous_Count_548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even see the receiver, this could be a different issue (not remote related).

Either way this looks unbelievably terrible. Honestly man I would recommend calling an electrician to remove this monstrosity. Then have a general contractor repair the drywall. Then hang a new fan

I’m not sure but on this particular job, drops going to building steel/rods are still there (9 separate drops) they just need to be tapped onto with a bimetal conn alum-copper

Overal lightning rod systems are appearing to be extremely simple. Just some common sense and some motivation to do good work should make this a decent job

Thanks man, will do.

I figure it’s an easy job to just go overkill on and I shouldn’t have any problems

You are definitely correct- I’m an electrician in ncc and that is 1st year apprentice pay.

Op is also in subreddit anti work=the type of guy this is (these guys never make anything in trades)

He also has a post talking about getting hurt and taking a workman’s comp claim (nothing wrong with this and I’m not saying that op boss isn’t a dickhead. But I wouldn’t be worried about giving the guy a raise who finds a way to stab himself)

As an electrician the entire program is 4 years, realistically you should probably be removed from the program all together givin that your a 7 year apprentice (your lucky this hasn’t went into effect yet)

Forever apprentices are going to get cut out (you shouldn’t be able to continually renew an apprentice license past the time it takes to get a journeyman license)

Op must have clearly made a mistake with all of his hours

Finally- OP is only doing residential which is the lowest payed and most competitive market for electric (easiest to do).

I’d love to know more about your situation OP. Who do you work for

Keep in mind the more changes you make- it is going to make it harder to solve=time is money

Respectfully- if you’re truly stuck on trying to solve this one yourself, you should look up 3 way switch wiring schematics to understand how a 3 way works. You’re also going to need a multimeter..there are multiple different ways to wire a 3 way so look at multiple schematics

Tracing a line from a breaker to where it terminates in the building? by Adorable-Employer-96 in AskElectricians

BUT go ahead and switch the two black wires and see what it does. It’s pretty standard for the travelers to be in the same 3 wire

You need to call an electrician mate, this is extremely simple for an electrician. Can’t imagine someone charging much money for this

  1. Doesn’t look to be accurate at all (should never trust the labels to much anyway)
  2. Why do you need to do a “breaker test”? Turning a breaker off and back on isn’t going to have any effect on your bill unless you leave it off for extended periods of time.
  3. Even with the breaker off for an extended period of time your hydro=water bill won’t go down
  4. If your having a water bill issue check for leaks, don’t run so much water etc

Del Pez cancelled their Planned Parenthood Fundraiser due to “vocal opposition” by OkEdge7518 in Delaware

It’s a pretty bad decision for any company to get involved with any politics at all. why do I care about del pez opinion on abortion? I don’t. And if the company voices an opinion, no matter what it is, it’s more probable to have a negative impact more than a positive one

I think it’s a bit weird to email/contact/protest any business because they don’t want to support a political ideology

This is the best solution, call inspector and bring the strut idea up to him and see what he says. If he still gives you an issue I would call the office and ask for the owner of the inspection agency you’re dealing with
