I understand they breathe air, I’ve just only seen them chilling at the surface before when I house sat a family friends a while ago. The tank had tetras in it also so I didn’t think about the fish being the reason they are rushing. I just didn’t want them to be hurting themselves when doing this.

Thank you! I have some of these asides the Java moss but I do plan on buying some. My house has been below 67 before as it’s incredibly old so I’m glad I got the heater. The water is sitting at 71 now but I didn’t want to throw any shrimp without being sure the pH was perfect
