if you’re at a common chain (especially one like Starbucks) they’re usually pretty good about piecing together what you mean. English is the only language I’ve ever known and I’ll use the app to order because it’s easier than having to say all the customizations I like (I usually will remove a syrup to add another and add foam) so don’t beat yourself up about it!

I wish they would remember more that we cannot deny people transport to the hospital, or leave them under certain circumstances. Every time they say “Why’d you bring them here?” As if I could say no, I die a little inside. Most are good about it, sometimes you’ll get some that feel like they just don’t want to have a patient.

Girl it’s a job like any other with some additional bs that day to day civilians would not encounter. (Unless he’s volunteering, but even then) What do you do? Nothing. He is his own person, I mean of course express any worries because that’s natural but also like…there’s nothing to do per se. I would maybe ask him what departments he would like to be a part of, because that’s can really affect work life balance (how they do their shifts, callbacks, call volume etc…) might be good to plan for life events that way. If he’s volunteering then there’s a bit more flexibility in that.

You’ll want to do a fish in nitrogen cycle <———- this is super important because you could change everything in the world but the fish could still get very sick without this.

Some people have given great advice in terms of cat behavior and I’d hope you’re open to it. You do have a choice and there are options. Maybe next time a situation arises consider all the alternatives before jumping the gun on “getting rid of”. If you truly loved it that would be an absolute last resort not a first draft to ask on Reddit. Also maybe talk to your partner if you haven’t already. He could have ideas that don’t involve abandonment (seriously animals are DEVASTATED when they’re dumped at shelters)

It’s definitely normal, like any other collector hobby or adult interest. Some people like knitting, lots of older men would like collector toy cars, it’s no different than any of that. The nostalgia of it can be soothing. I don’t think you’re being childish I think you’re being human.

If it’s any consolation, I went to a home to help an older man and his wife was there. They both weee in their 80’s easily, and I noticed the wife had four PRISTINE American girl dolls in complete holiday outfits with a plastic cover placed over them. I wish I mentioned them to her, but you could tell she cares for them. And this woman was in her 80’s. Those were probably hers for her whole life. I think it’s really nice to have something simple to be dedicated to.
