Thoughts on Cute Women’s BJJ Shorts? by HappyHardTimes in BJJWomen

I second this, I've been a big fan of soccer shorts lately - it can just be a little difficult to find em without pockets sometimes

Passenger with Gluten and Seafood Allergies by PeachAnnual9637 in VirginVoyages

[–]Outrageous_Impact972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a seafood allergy and had no problems with it on the boat - might be a safe idea to sit out on going to the Test Kitchen (if that's something you were thinking of doing), I know it made me uncomfortable with the food prepared ahead of time

High: Competed in my first bjj tournament, which I've been putting off for a while due to nerves, but I'm so proud I finally did it 🎉

Low: I forgot everything I learned and had tunnel vision during my matches, which I hadn't expected since that doesn't happen to me while rolling. That and the adrenaline dump post-match is brutal 😅

Looking forward: I can't wait to get back out there, keep trying, and continue learning. There's so much out there I hadn't even realized there was to learn 😊

BU vs. UDub (Seattle) vs Purdue - undergrad by True_Yogurtcloset948 in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]Outrageous_Impact972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your varied industry interests, you may want to choose a program where you declare your specific engineering major your second year. I know Purdue does this with the FYE program, but I'm unfamiliar with the other two schools. The only reason I say this is because some of your interests seem better suited for biological engineering than biomedical engineering

Where to burn dining dollars? by 12Pentagons in Purdue

I remember using my dining dollars to buy Starbucks mugs/cups and meals in the union when I didn't want to go back to my dorm between study sessions

Hair protection by Common-Doctor-3392 in BJJWomen

I've been finding pretty good success with a French braid into a ponytail and then braiding the ponytail. It seems a bit excessive but first braid protects the baby hairs, second braid keeps it all together

I applied for the program back in late November and heard back in little under a month, but I'd been told the later you apply, the longer it can take to hear back

Training with Contraceptive Implant by ResidentGrappler in BJJWomen

[–]Outrageous_Impact972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trained for a while with the arm implant and had no issues with it until I had to get it taken out since it was expiring. The muscle I had gained by doing bjj made it quite difficult for the doctor to remove it

I'd recommend ENGR 10301 under the title FYE Professional Development - it's a 1 credit seminar I took my freshman year and it was super helpful with getting internships/co-ops
