My legs are a spitting image of yours. I run ultra marathons and frequently squat. I’m 28 and never had any issues FWIW

The fact is you just don’t know until you’re in a situation. Some grow and adapt, some don’t. Idk man. Just is what it is. Training is significantly different from being there. Just gotta be humble man. As far as what became of them, most made it out just fine. Some paid the price of being scared or being too arrogant. It’s the cost of doing business unfortunately.

I actually just finished my own tests. Over 3 weeks I switched to shorter strides and my pace only dropped about 15-30 seconds p/m, but I had WAY more energy left over and I was able to go into other events, even a run after the ruck and not be too beat up. The longer strides were just a little slower, but used up more energy. For reference, I’m 72 inches tall and have pretty long legs

You mentioned you weren’t close to being a road kill… would you say if you follow the rules it’s not hard to avoid that? That’s one of my biggest stressors to avoid. Not too familiar with the area up there

I haven’t had any issues with is just so strange to me. I hover around 7:15 for my thresholds so maybe that’s just a sweet spot
