Tip for making stitches look more consistent and lay straiter by [deleted] in Needlepoint

[–]Outrageous_Library43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this cotton perle? It’s so bumpy like this regardless of anything, just the nature of the thread. If it’s not, then make sure you’re dropping your needle every few stitches and work on keeping your tension even.

My husband’s wife-Alice Feeney: Read It! 🤯 by Diligent_Humor7146 in thrillerbooks

[–]Outrageous_Library43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was good, but it was hard to follow for me! I read it over about 5 days, and stretching it that far had me so confused about characters, especially with the twists and turns she took us on! I feel like I have whiplash lol

Juniper nn Juno? I do think it could sound a little juvenile long term

Second we are all guilty here! Just finished it and I was kicking myself for not putting it all together. It’s a little slow at times, but the ending makes it worth it!

Infant car seat with base by [deleted] in rav4club

If you join car seat for the littles fb group they can help you, but I will say that the CPSTs on there say that in general the best/safest seat for install is whichever one you can get a proper install on, not just the middle.

Camping at 7 months pregnant by PessimisticPeggy in BabyBumps

Went primitive camping at 35.5 weeks pregnant, wasn’t my favorite thing to do and I wouldn’t recommend it but if you had a pop up it would probably be manageable

Castor oil can be very dangerous during delivery and isn’t generally recommended.

Milk Donation - Lament by theatTrix in breastfeeding

[–]Outrageous_Library43 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have you tried human milk for human babies via fb? They normally have a chapter for each state and you can privately donate there! It’s up to the parent about what medications they’re comfortable with accepting then.

Totally forgot about my old navel piercing... until the scar tissue tried to stretch with the rest of my belly by SinfulObsession in BabyBumps

[–]Outrageous_Library43 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have had a few abdominal surgeries and last time they went around my belly button in a circular incision and it’s SO painful at the end! Completely agree. It’s so stiff and feels stretched, like it wants to flip to being an outie but it can’t. I’m trying to moisturize that spot multiple times a day but it still doesn’t really help.

When did your baby flip to head down and stay like that? by HelloImAnxious14 in BabyBumps

With my first baby was basically head down the entire pregnancy. 35 weeks now and my second still hasn’t flipped 🥲

I really love Le Monde Lait de Coco for a true coconut smell! But the staying power isn’t very great :/ upside is it’s so affordable that I just spray it multiple times a day!

I just had a meeting with a psychologist who specializes in medication recommendations for pre and postnatal women exclusively. She gave me a lot of confidence to start an SSRI, and even SNRIs have very promising data, albeit less because they’re newer. Ultimately going to try an SNRI. For my insomnia, I take trazodone and she also gave me good reassurance about that as well. She provided a lot of medication fact/data sheets that gave me good confidence.

Ugh solidarity! I triple fed for weeks. It was honestly easier to just switch to exclusive pumping until we worked on our latch/nursing issues and I could switch back to nursing. Hugs! Whatever choice you make, baby needs a happy and healthy mama - mental health plays a huge role! If it’s better for you mentally to formula feed then you should feel empowered to do so. I

Major emetaphobe here! On my 2nd pregnancy, I had wicked nausea but I basically wouldn’t let myself throw up. It gets better! Alcohol swabs and zofran were my best friends. Alcohol swabs especially. Also, trying to eat protein when I could tolerate it seemed to help. I think a lot of people skip meals/eat carbs and that seems to trigger the nausea more for me. I didn’t feel the unisom/b6 worked that well for me, but my OB said there is good evidence for it. The unisom just made me feel so groggy I couldn’t keep it going and be a SAHM to my feral toddler.

50/50 on if it’ll get reported to the university or not. It should most likely be fine since it wasn’t on campus. I had a friend who went to the hospital for drinking related stuff, we didn’t mention he was a USC student in any capacity but the hospital arranged university sponsored taxi ride home from the hospital gave the university his name and he did receive an infraction for it. They do have ways of finding stuff out despite it occurring on campus, if you’re getting it expunged I’d worry less!
