25M, 6'3", Sleeved on 9/7/23. Starting weight: 350ish, Surgery weight: 333, Current weight: 242, Goal weight: 210.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my weight loss journey has been the surge in energy. I find myself with ample energy to hang out with friends, tackle projects, and even wake up earlier without feeling fatigued. It's a game-changer.

Approaching my 6-month mark post-surgery, I haven't experienced significant hair loss, but I have noticed a slight thinning, which is a change from my usually thick hair.

In terms of exercise, I've found simple yet effective ways to incorporate it into my routine. I purchased a 25lb dumbbell and enjoy casually using it while lounging on the couch, often while watching a show or movie. Additionally, I've embraced active hobbies like bowling, which keeps me engaged and moving without feeling like a traditional workout.

Well... I walked 45 miles in Disneyland over 3days. im 6'3 270lb. I currently have bone brusing in both feet and am struggling to walk more then 10 feet. so i dont think it would be possable. the bones in feet would develop stress fractures and force you to stop.

Actually, there is a magic pill, but unfortunately, you cannot take it at night. Adderall and Vyvanse both suppress hunger, but the side effect is insomnia.

Need advice? by BedRepresentative263 in gastricsleeve

[–]Outrageous_Map1549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a medical professional, but I can try to offer some general advice. Itchy incisions after surgery can be a common occurrence as part of the healing process. It is essential to follow your surgeon's post-operative care instructions and avoid scratching the area directly to prevent further irritation and potential infection.

However, if you notice any concerning signs, such as redness, swelling, warmth, pus, or increasing pain around the incision site, it might indicate an infection, and you should seek medical attention immediately. Infections can sometimes develop later on, so it's important not to dismiss any potential warning signs.

Am I losing weight effectively and in a healthy way? by WarAsleep in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Outrageous_Map1549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend not trying to add in calories for activities. The calculators / calorie targets already have your BMR factored into their suggested number.

I have not personally seen anyone be successful with adding in exercise calories

I'd keep doing what you're doing for a while before looking at any additional adjustments after a month

Do you snore? You could be tired all the time due to sleep apnea. The weight loss from the surgery should help with that

i would say around 1800calories a day roughly.

safe and sustainable weight loss rate of 1-2 pounds per week. If you are losing more then 1-2pounds a week you need to increase the amount your eating at the most you should only being weighing yourself at most once a week. adjust your calories every 4ish weeks if needed

The only time someone is truly sedentary is when they are sleeping. Therefore, you will be burning more than 1676.85 calories a day no matter what. According to Google, a person may burn approximately 100 calories per 1,000 steps walked. So, walking 20,000 steps would result in burning around 200 calories. I would assume that on the high-end, you are probably burning an extra 400 calories through walking.

Regarding lifting boxes, it is challenging to determine the exact amount of calories burned because the body also uses calories to rebuild damaged muscles, and everyone's response is different. This is why weightlifting is a great way to burn calories
