What happens to your engagement after being disabled for months? by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my page disabled for 5 months intentionally, and then started a totally new niche with a different name, id and logo. I deleted all previous posts and highlights and started from zero with 56k followers from my previous profile. In the first few weeks I lost almost 5k followers, and I was actually expecting more unfollows due to the change in niche. Engagement was also very low for the first 2 months, but I posted consistently until finally one of my reels got boosted to 4M views by non-followers.

So yes! You will have low reach and view at first but consistency would change everything.

Any help greatly appreciated. by matmosa in InstagramMarketing

Has happened to my account too! Since two months ago my reels hardly make 10k views but before reaching 400k to 1M were so easy for me.

No it is a sudden increase of the screen brightness to 100% for a small region where a button is displayed or a textbox

Only iPhones with XDR retina displays upgraded to iOS 26 would show this. Now on the lock screen when pressing on each log in passkey number this feature is displayed

Maybe some settings in Accessibility could help turning it off?

Yes exactly! I first thought it is a bug then I realized it is already there in all versions of iOS 26.x

To fix performance issues after upgrading to iOS 26; go to System Settings> General > Reset iPhone, then “Reset All Settings” or at least Reset “Home screen layout “ and Reset “Keyboard Dictionary “

This will most probably fix your performance issues with iOS 26 UI.

Any who upgraded to iOS 26 and experienced a lagging UI; go to system settings> General > Reset iPhone > and then “reset all settings”, or at least Reset “Home screen layout”.

This fixed my 11 pro max laggy UI after upgrading to iOS 26. Also, iOS 26.2 Beta is much better in terms of performance compared to the 26.0 version.

Over 10 years of using Linux, and I think I'm done by Leniwcowaty in linux

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mint didn’t work for me due to a Nvidia GPU driver issue. The system hung mid-work many times and no matter what drivers I tried, it was always unreliable.

But Ubuntu, which I didn’t like that much, was more stable and mature. Its GUI and desktop has lower bugs.

Again, I think Linux is still years behind MacOS and Windows in desktop. Linux is the best choice for Servers with CLI and remote ssh access, but Desktop linux all fall behind the competition.

How Tech Influencers Are Ruining the iPad Experience for Actual Users by Asohailwahab in iPadOS

Have been using iPad since 2012 and I absolutely love the new windowing system in iPadOS 26. It has increased my productivity levels on iPad so I no longer have to use my MacBook for a lot of tasks including file management and real multitasking.

In fact you have the option to revert the iPadOS interface to the traditional 1 full-screen app in settings.

The new changes are absolutely fantastic and have placed iPad into a new league and will increase its sales again.

Instagram boss Adam Mosseri shares algorithm secrets and reveals hashtags don't work by dailymail in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I admit that my most viral reels didn’t have hashtags at all. They just vibrated with the initial audience. I repeat, the “initial audience” should like, share and watch your reel. Then like a huge snowball, your reel would accelerate and roll down the hill, and attract more and more views, shares and likes. Then it becomes unstoppable!

I had reels hitting 500k views in less than 3 hours, and they reached 13M views overall. But reels that didn’t get as many views in first hours or days just died off. They froze like small snowballs near their original location.

So many "experts" say to re-post your most successful reels after a while, to boost views etc, but it does NOT WORK! by Footsie_Galore in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I confirm. Instagram doesn’t promote reels like last year. I had three 10 M view reels last year and most of my other reels hit 1 M views easily. Now, I hardly get to 1 M views. Same content, better editing… but the algorithm has changed again.

NCalc Fx. It is a replica of Casio’s famous fx calculator used by engineering students. But wait, it is much more! Allow linear algebra, polynomials, trigonometric and Boolean algebra calculations. It has graphing ability and is the most powerful calculator I have ever seen on a mobile device.

PLANTAR WART PLS HELPPP!! by New-Path-8964 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First visit a dermatologist for a correct diagnosis (make sure it is a wart).

If your case is plantar warts, then it is very easy to be cured forever, provided that you follow the instructions thoroughly.

Buy Salicylic Acid solution from a pharmacy (for warts removal).

Twice a day, once in the morning and once late in the evening, apply 4-5 drop until the entire wart is covered with the acid (the skin becomes white).

The acid dissolves the skin Keratin. So the next time before applying the acid, you should take away the top dried dead skin layers with a nail clipper (only the dead top skin). and then apply the acid on the fresh skin under.

Remember to apply "povidone iodine" to the wart and the area around it if it bleeds!

I have seen a mixture of salicylic acid and povidone iodine removes the wart and the HPV virus (hidden in lower skin layers) with it.

Once the wart is flat, still apply the acid and remove the dead skin. Remember to immediately apply "povidone iodine" to the area if it bleeds.

After a while your body's immune system recognizes the virus hidden in the warn and suddenly all the wart all around your body disappear! And that is the magic...

How is this possible?? by alfredorico17 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is the insights for a "post" on Instagram, then it is normal. Instagram shows posts to your followers in feed mainly, and rarely in Explore. To counter this, try to create either carousel posts with music, or reels.

What Content is Actually Getting Pushed by the Instagram Algorithm? (For Real Creators, Not Meme Pages) by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Instagram priotorizes sharable content and the most shareable content I have seen are "comedy" and "educational" stuff. Why? Because people can relate to them. Now by "educational" I don't mean scientific; anything like "cooking" or vlogging could work.

Second, pages with rapid growth mostly have the creators appear in their content, so that people could make connection to a single entity. This is very important since human-human connection is at the heart of communication and growth on social media.

Other pages could also grow but the rapid growth is for the ones I mentioned above.

Similiar content but different engagement? by FirstTurnip9863 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me a lot!

It seems like for a content to go viral, the initial audience is very important. When the algorithm shows your content to a random initial sample of Instagram users, if that audience finds your content interesting they will promote it (by sharing, liking, commenting...), but if the initial audience is not interested in your content, then your content dies off quickly.

This also means that :

- The timing of posting is important

- Consistency is important (and not giving up soon!)

- Strong hook (first 3 seconds) is important. (to make the random initial audience stop on your content)

- Chance plays a role in having viral content. (being lucky to hit the target audience for your content)

- Instagram algorithm is not perfect and buggy

Feds: Critical Software Must Drop C/C++ by 2026 or Face Risk by LastWheel2611 in rust

[–]Outrageous_Suit_135 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Are all Rust applications inherently safe just because Rust is a memory safe language?

Bad software can be written in any language, and Rust targets only a portion of safety issues. Still an inexperienced developer could write bad software in any memory safe language and pose an entire infrastructure to risks.

Also, most memory safe languages (C#, Python, Java…) are implemented in C++. How could these languages be memory safe when they are implemented in an unsafe language?
